RICHMOND superstar Dustin Martin has lived up to his unbackable pre-count billing by claiming a record-breaking Brownlow Medal victory at Crown Palladium on Monday night.
Martin, the shortest-priced favourite in history at $1.03, polled a record 36 votes – excluding 1976-77, when two umpires awarded separate votes – to win by 11 from Hawk Tom Mitchell (25) and Sydney's Josh Kennedy (23).
Brownlow tracker: All the votes in the 2017 count
The 26-year-old had a share of the award by round 21 and could not be beaten a round later, when he already had 30 votes to his name.

Martin's 11th set of three votes in the final round saw him break reigning winner Patrick Dangerfield's record haul of 35 votes from last year.
It also gave him the most three-vote performances in Brownlow history, passing the nine best-on-grounds polled by Greg Williams (1994), Nat Fyfe (2015) and Dangerfield (2016).
"It's a pretty surreal position to be in, obviously getting the (Brownlow) Medal and being in a Grand Final, so it's pretty awesome," Martin said.
"Ever since back in the day I knew this (playing in the AFL) was all I ever wanted to do, so I put everything into it and I'm glad it's paying off.
"Every year you learn new things in the game; whether it be better diet or a bit more cross-training or a bit of meditation here and there – finding new things to make you better."

Looks like the Crows forward Mitch Mcgovern won't be playing due to him still being injured but i am leaning towards them still winning.

Very average Grand Final, good game to half time then the wheels or feathers fell off the Crows.
The Tigers were way too good, thought it would be a lot closer tussle but they deserved it, long time between drinks for them,Bobo is happy.

Home ground advantage in both cases. The last game and the GF.

On the train down to Geelong, my adopted team since I got a stubby holder in 1993.
The highlight of my 2 week holiday and was beaten by one bloody point, but great game, although I don't know the rules. Got a new stubby holder so happy!

It is impossible to be sent off in a game

That's why we love it so much. You can always find somebody other than your team to blame if you lose!

Thought Sidebottom played a blinder. Grundy gave Jacobs a bath. The woods had winners all over the ground. Adelaide had about 3 decent players. Mcgovern was one who could hold his head up. Betts was well held. Sidebottom proved that you can stop a midfielder without sacrificing your own game Sloane showed he is not happy when tagged. Tex played like adelaide were 10 goals in front. The woods also showed how well they can play in the wet and that will be a concern for other sides. Adelaide, conversely showed how they cant.
BTW I am a Cats supporter just really admired how the pies played the game and it was entertaining to watch they also looked a lot more ferocious at the ball and did it away to boot.

I'm officially off the Port Adelaide for Premiers bandwagon.
    It's West Coast for me!!!
The Pies are going well, well but if they can't put away the Dockers, then there is still a long way to go!!!
