    Dusty's a little bit Dusty

Hardwick provides update on Martin’s “pretty significant corkie”

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick is confident star Dustin Martin will be at his best in Friday’s Preliminary Final against Collingwood.
Hardwick confirmed Martin has been battling a “significant” corkie over the past fortnight, forcing him to undertake an adjusted training period in the lead-up to the Magpies clash.

“He will train today, so we will get a fair indication of whether he is 95 percent, 100 percent,” Hardwick said.
“Not many players are 100 percent these days at this stage of the year anyway.
“We are confident he will be at his best. He has had a great finals series already, so we are looking forward to that continuing on Friday night.
“He has battled through these sort of things before.

I (and I'm not an Aussie) usually prefer the Melbourne teams over the interstate ones except when Carlton or Collingwood are playing. So go the Eagles.

Where's Cousins going to be watching the game from? Is he still in the nick?

I've jumped on the 'Pies bandwagon. Collingwood will be premiers. After the rubbish thrown at Bucks the last few years. I hope they win for him.

The Eagles won it in the last minutes so everything is right and ordered in the known universe.
Was a good game, Magpies led most of the way but could not finish it off,Eddie McGuire will have a well deserved sook.

Was a great game and it could have gone either way up unil the last minutes.

The Eagles got slaughtered early on but come back to turn a potential hammering into a win.

Not a real AFL fan but that game was great.

They could claim they were robbed by a poor umpiring decision in the dying moments but in the end it will make no difference. People will only remember west coast won and Collingwood lost but I have always said that to win a GF there is always a little luck involved.
I have decided to retire as a football comentator.
This was my top 8 before the first game of the season:
    1 Adelaide 2 Richmond 3 Geelong 4 Sydney 5 GWS 6 Fremantle 7 Essendon.
My tip for the GF at the end of the season was:
    Melbourne V Richmond.
Thankfully I haven't given up my day job.

My focus now is where to for Geelong in 2019. Despite great midfield depth, some did not step up to the plate in games that mattered. A well performing Hawkins and for the most part (despite an injury riddled season) a tight backline with the addition of Henry and Blicavs who was a revelation at full back. The forward line was an issue all season with persistent injuries to Cockatoo Gregson McCarthy Taylor and Menzell, showing Geelong's lack of depth and reliance on injury prone players. Also the lack of a good tap Ruck for most of the season. The other issue is whether Scott has a game plan that can stand up to the high pressure teams.

Ah well! we got there, but did not finish.
    Well done Eagles.
Just hope that next year is not a repeat of the last couple.
Premiers not able to do two in a row.

Dust off your recliner and fill the Esky because the great game is back for the season.
Best news was that Carlton and Collingwood are off to a flyer, both beaten, life is grand.

Back for the finals and the good news is that GWS just lasted in beating Collingwood.
56 TO 52,great last quarter, and even better that Eddie McGuire will be sooking.

Grand Final is done and dusted,i, like many others just turned the tv off before half time.
What a piss poor effort by GWS,had perfect playing conditions but they did not seem to know it was a grand final.

    Sydney versus Collingwood Magpies.

Hopefully Sydney do the damn pies over. Because nobody likes cold pies.
