Freo are in a total mess, losing to Carlton at home.

Sydney had a good win over West Coast, they won't lose many at home now they've locked all games in at the SCG.

    Richmond are a fucking joke

Pies smashed the hapless Bombers and apparently all is now well in Pie town, until next week that is.........

Bulldogs Norths should be a good one this week....

Agree with all of the above.
    Hawks only just getting home.
North could be the dark horse this season.

Asked me facebook friends, maybe TD more help...

Ok footy friends. I have 3 available dates in Melbourne to bring Mrs KingWilly to her first live footy match at the MCG. Unfortunately no Bombers or Tiger games on the 'G then. So which game (s) should we choose and why?

    1. Friday night 24th June Collingwood vs Freo
    2. Saturday night 2nd July Carlton vs Collingwood
    3. Sunday arvo 3rd July Melbourne vs Adelaide

Winner will receive a free beer.

I would go to any Collywobbles game just on the off chance you get to see them flogged and watch their brain-dead supporters riot outside the stadium after the game.

    Dane Swan calls it quits

COLLINGWOOD star Dane Swan is set to draw the curtain on his distinguished career when he announces his retirement on Tuesday afternoon.
The star Magpie's career is littered with individual accolades, headed by the 2011 Brownlow medal, his three Copeland Trophies (2008, 2009, 2010) and five All Australian selections (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013).
WATCH: The best of Dane Swan
"Playing football for Collingwood was fun. As some of you may have gathered over the years it is a powerful motivation of mine," Swan said in a statement.
"In a way, I will never leave Collingwood because I know Collingwood will never leave me.
"I wore our black and white stripes with pride, always feeling that you were equally proud to see me waddle out in Number 36. We were good together."
Swan was an extremely popular figure and a key part of Collingwood's breakthrough 2010 premiership victory.
Swan's career was cut short after he broke three bones in his foot in the opening game of the season against the Sydney Swans.
The 32-year-old will hold a press conference at 12.30pm AEST, which can be viewed live on AFL.com.au

North Melbourne won’t offer Brent Harvey, Drew Petrie, Nick Dal Santo, Michael Firrito contracts for 2017

NORTH Melbourne is set to part ways with much-loved veterans Brent Harvey, Drew Petrie, Nick Dal Santo and Michael Firrito.

The club announced their decision on Wednesday after weeks of media speculation regarding the foursome’s future.
The Kangaroos will feature in the finals but the club will be hoping for a big crowd at its final home-and-away game against GWS this weekend.
While Petrie and Firrito were expected to retire at the end of the year, Harvey and Dal Santo had made public their desire to play on
Harvey, 38, spent 21 years at Arden Street and will retire as the club and AFL games record-holder after playing his 427th game earlier this year.
Harvey’s manager, Shane Casley, said earlier this month the five-time best and fairest-winner would retire a one-club player if his contract at Arden St was not renewed for 2017.
“No. He would not (seek a trade),” Casley told the Herald Sun.
The Kangaroos legend has averaged 22 possessions and 1.2 goals a game in 2016.
“All the stats say he has had a pretty solid year,” Casley said.

    Richmond on the Rebuild

Dion Prestia accepts five-year offer to join Richmond Tigers

Richmond say they will work with Gold Coast to negotiate a fair trade for Dion Prestia, who has accepted a five-year offer to join the club.
The Tigers announced on Wednesday that Prestia had nominated them as his preferred destination.
Prestia unofficially resolved to join the Tigers earlier this month, as reported by Fairfax Media at the time.
The midfielder waited until the Suns' season was over to tell teammates and supporters that he had decided to leave after six years.
