Ireland - Can they keep this level of form through to RWC?

England - Growing stronger with every game. Still a work in progress.

Wales - Where do they go from here?

    France - Same again please.

Scotland - Only one way to go now.

Italy - Still on the fringes.

You sound like you are full of cow biffy and obviously your comments are from someone who has little personal experience of the game. A gawkers comments, from way, way back in the stands.

Ireland were superb much better than England who could only beat the Irish by
    3 points at Twickenham.
England played better this year than they did last year without a doubt.
The best team eventually ran out as the six nations championship winners and that team was Ireland.

If the Irish were 'superb' and 'much better' than England, why didn't they beat them?

The Irish were superb against Wales; they totally dominated that game with a fine display from the fly-half.

OK using your same logic:- if England were the best this year [ your opinion ]
why didn't they win the grand slam or at least the championship?
If England are so good why haven't they won a grand-slam or championship for the last eleven years?
Looking forward to reading your opinions on the above.

They didn't win the championship because of sloppy defending in the last few mins in Paris. If I were English I'd blame Andy Goode for not smashing Fickou.

"If England are so good why haven't they won a grand-slam or championship for the last eleven years?"

That's a pretty retarded question which I cant be bothered answering!

Why? it's quite a straight forward question or can't you accept that England were beaten fair and square or maybe they have been using the last eleven years as a build up to attempting to win the 2015 six nations grand-slam next year.
Or maybe you're a member of '' The Coulda, Woulda, Shouda, '' Brigade.
Or maybe its a pretty retarded question which is above the capability of a retard to answer??????????

A quick trip over to youtube tells me that when May went off with a busted nose they put Mike Brown on the wing and Goode to full-back.

This was a shit move because if Mike Brown was at 15 he would have smashed Fickou into row Z.

For a start I never said that England have been pie-hot for the last eleven years. I'm just going off what a watched this year, which is what this thread is about.

I don't really care about how bad England were in some random year, lets say 2006.

Anyway, what is this conversation about? I don't get it.

You think Ireland were much better than England. I think England were a tiny bit better than Ireland. Shall we leave it there?

Going on your shit-fight with Fluke, I doubt you'll want to leave it there and you'll probably come back with some more pretty pointless stuff!

    Scottish, heh?

Anyway, England's defence was not as good as Irelands, basically, so the best side won the competition. Saying that though, England did beat Ireland, but that is a moot point.

A couple of lucky bounces of the ball saw France beat England with a touch of sloppy defence thrown into the mix.

The difference between the England and Ireland team is Caps. The match day squad Ireland put out against France had 928 caps between them. England 443. To come second, tied on points, losing out to points difference with this squad is not too bad.

Scotland on the other hand, having made the mistake of putting SJ as "director of Rugby" and bringing in another SH type to coach the squad are in all sorts of problems. I am a firm believer that they should chuck a shed load of cash at Andy Nichol and have him as head coach and bin all these SH journeymen who are taking the cash and tossing up Scottish Rugby to the point where they might not even be able to put out a team in 10 years time. My Scottish Grandmother is fuming about it!

In what way was my post 'pointless'. I gave my opinion and made my 'point'.

I can understand senseless, but not pointless as this is a rugby thread and I gave my opinion about two rugby teams.

If I'd made that comment on a thread about onion farming in Udon then that may be 'pointless'.

Scott Johnson was head coach. They are yet to make the mistake (if it turns out to be one) of bringing in Vern Cotter. He is still coaching CA until the end of the season, so he can hardly be blamed for Scotland's woes.

Scotland have appointed SJ as director of rugby, and he is sitting in the interim head coach position whilst Vern works out his contract. It's a done deal.

This does explain some of his selections which widely could be seen as incompetence, but might be explained as him playing as many players as possible so Vern can see exactly how bad Scotland are.
