I like the name Beatrice actually, reminds me of one of my favourites when I was younger...

So, how are the games gonna go today? I reckon they're both even and could go either way; home is an advantage when the games are this close.

Let's hope Scotland throw the ball about and get their backs into the game.

England will have to be at their best, as Ireland look like the team to beat this year. If Ireland win this game then they'll certainly fancy their chances of cleaning up.

Phwoar, she's hot. Who is she?
I'd like to the Scots winning tonight. They need it.
I'm not going to make any prediction between the Auld enemy and Eire. Predictions have a nasty habit of blowing up in my face. I'm shitting bricks to be honest. I hope it lives up to be a classic game.

It was a great game; could've gone either way, home advantage does make the difference in these close games.

Two excellent games today. Nice to see Scotland win and score a couple of good tries.

Good win for England, missed the game but it was the result we wanted. Not often I want England to win, and I sure as hell won't be watching and supporting them believe me.

The Grand Slam is now dead, if Wales can't then I don't want anyone else doing it.

As for LT imagining me, I'm sure his visions are vivid but quite wrong.......

I generally stand beneath the posts the lads are attacking way away from all other parents, I'm behind a large camera. Actually few parents come with the U18s. I tend to spend the first five minutes after the game cooling them down from their whining about the referee. We need to maintain the culture of respect for the referee that makes our game stand out from the rest. It needs to start from the earliest ages.

As for the games, due to numbers he dropped down to the U16s.

He did play as reserve hooker in the first U18 game. Played 5 minutes in a win.

In the U16 they played Surin who are Thailand's rugby power house at these age groups. They gave away three tries in the first half but came back to win the second half but lose the game 17-7.

In the second game they played well and he was vey good, a captains performance. One try, two turnovers and two turnover penalties. Took 100% of his line outs and make three solo tackles. I know this because he listed each and every one several times.

They are just about to kick off their third group game.

We need to add citing and retrospective punishments to Football, and give the referees backing to send off players guilty of frequent dissent, but the FIFA, UEFA and FA dinosaurs would never allow it.

    Amen to that.

Can anyone imagine an association football referee speaking to a team captain the way that Joubert did to Robshaw?

One of them did and Southampton were squealing about it like little piglets for a week.

    Back to rugby.

Wales looked good, played well. The French were truly awful in every department. The Scots ran the ball well, but their half backs are pretty awful (excellent drop goal at the end though). Ireland looked like a very good, strong and well coached team; they put in an impressive performance. England are improving well because beating this Irish team was no mean feat. At last, our backs are starting to look like a decent outfit. No 10 needs to improve and mature. That bloody 2 bob fullback, who never seemed good enough for international rugby, seems to have taken things to another level; his performance was superb. Of note for England is the established club partnerships which are strong (lineout and the try), but this is a potential danger when injuries occur. I still don't think we're serious WC contenders, and the Welsh could beat us if they turn up with their A game, but we have come on a long way; superb second row performances, good play by the wingers, decent centre play, competitive around the fringes and at the breakdown with an excellent Irish outfit, excellent no9 performance, top drawer full back performance (both 15s in this game). The Irish won't play that well and lose against many teams.

In the U20's, England spanked Ireland 33-9. And the Frogs beat the Welsh, too.

Not enough cover in key positions yet.

I want to see the young fly-half have a go. He's got a year to transfer his excellent club form to the international stage.

We've got Tuilagi to come back from injury. As have the Merkin and Cole.

We need another couple of quick buggers on the wing and a proper replacement for Brown, should he get injured.

Youngs should be 2nd choice scrum-half and his brother needs to sort his line-out throwing out.

Agreed. It takes time to inculcate the Lancaster doctrine. Is a year long enough for suitable quality players to absorb and adapt to it?

We have got players coming through and others that will be back from injury. We'll be a good team 18 months from now...

We should be good enough, just, with home advantage to get out of the WC group stages. But, to beat the Boks and Kiwis, nevermind the Irish and Welsh, might be a tad beyond us. Having said that, we are becoming good enough to beat any team, on home soil, and the big guns won't wanna play us... I'm more optimistic than a year ago, or even 6 months ago.

I think we are seeing the benefits of Lancasters former job with the Saxons. He is also learning and developing his own knowledge and understanding as he improves as a coach.
The NZ tour will be very illuminating, but they have a chance to further prove their credentials in the 6N first.

We will need a large and good quality squad in Cheating Kiwi Bastard land. &, I doubt we'll win a test match against them.

We are competitive, so they shouldn't run away from us, but never easy to win there. SA are a better team than us, and they haven't won there recently, so...

Billy V out of the 6N with ankle ligament damage.

Chance for Morgan to step up and maybe Kvesic off the bench.

The summer tour, AIs and 6N 2015 will be perfect preparation for the RWC. Lancaster will have a young squad with experience against the top sides at test level.

Any England player will be highly motivated by the fixtures over the next 18 months. Let's start with a triple crown against Wales.

And let's not make the same mistake as last year of counting your chickens' before they've hatched old bean, very unwise.
