Very successful at it, as was one of my all time favourite Welsh players, Allan Bateman.
Both played in the NSWRL.
^Hmmm... What's the point in talking about Scotland when you can just slag off England right...
It'd be nice to hear about the Scottish team, developing players, and if you can get back to your former highs.
Scotland will take care of themselves on the day or die trying.
Much more fun to antagonize all the English pricks before the ball's been kicked
especially when they give everyone an open invitation to rip the pish oot o them
every year. Same old , same old.
Scotland's problem is the 10 shirt, a decent team in the other 14 slots. I was hoping they might try and convert Stuart Hogg into a full time 10 seeing as he played there for the Lions against the club teams and did ok seeing as not played there since his school days.
^Laidlaw is a good player, but a very unusual 10; not sure his attacking flair makes up for his defensive weaknesses. Would be be better at 9? Hogg looks like he has real potential, but at 15?
"Or die trying"? It's a game of rugby you fuking nonce...Quote:

I was speaking figuratively you fvcking prick...Obviously I've antagonized you into
replying to my post betty. So who's looking like a fvcking idiot now you moron?
^^Laidlaw is not good enough to play 10 at international level as his previous appearances there have shown, which leaves Jackson and Weir who are both ok at club level but neither are good enough at 6 Nations level but sadly that is all Scotland have at the moment and that is what is holding an otherwise semi decent team back.
Decent 10's are like hens teeth these days in the 6N.
I think both of ours are adequate at this level but no better.
If Sexton is the best 10 in the 6N (and he is) that says it all. Good player but.....
^^^ are you going to add to the rugby debate?
If we study the results over the last 5 years of the 6 nations then we see that both Wales and England have won 17 games. Scotland won 5.
Ireland have won 14, as have France.
Italy have won 5 games, the same as Scotland.
Do you think it's time that Scotland get put in a 6 nations B group along with Romania, Georgia, USA, Canada and the Netherlands?
You may be right. You have a competitive pack (although they can be blown out of games quite often) with 2 or 3 excellent players. Also, you look to have a decent set of backs with pace and power, so you're probably right that a strong halfback pairing would really help the cause.Quote:

No because then it would have to be called ''The 11 nations'' ..England haven't won a grand slam since 2003.
Wales have won more Grand-slams than England since the millennium blah blah blah . Get real betty.
Even though England have won the same amount of games over the last 5 years in the 6 nations as Wales, I consider Wales to have been the better team in that period. I'd say Ireland have been too, although they have lost games they should have won, and not had the success they deserved. In that last 5 years, England have reached a WC final and beaten all the Southern Hemisphere giants. &, that has been with an average to poor England team, so we're doing ok thanks, Jamie. We're also improving going into next year's WC, and might be optimistic to reach the semi-finals. We are in a very difficult group, however, and so we need to solidify our pack and radically improve our backs because they are toothless in attack...
Do you even watch rugby or are you just whinging? If you're a supporter then you'd have something constructive to say about Scotland, who have been the worst team in the 6 Nations over the last 5 years. Why?
They are certainly playing like it.Quote:

I think we'll lose the first game to France.
Well Scotland's poor performance is down to the English numpty Robbo who coached them without any degree of success and thank fvck he's gone.
Scotland will come again but it will take time but looking forward to watching them
perform in this years 6 nations and hope they do comparatively well but no Grand-slam this year i'm afraid as i'm far too realistic and not full of hot air and pish like some of you on here....After all it's what happens on the day....Yes?
Why bother?Quote:

Talk about the team for fuks sake, this is a rugby thread. Here are your games, I doubt you know:
You're away to England - I predict an England win by 15+ points.
You're away to Italy - I predict Italy win by 3-5 points.
You're home to France - I predict a France win by 10+ points.
You're away to Wales - I predict a Wales win by 15+ points.
You're at home to Ireland - I predict a loss by 7-12 points.
How do you see it, Jamie? Tough set of fixtures for sure.
1. Wales (GS)
2. England
3. Ireland
4. France
5. Scotland
6. Italy
can't wait
^^ If I could forecast I'd do the lottery.
