What happens if during a DGW, a player misses the first game but plays the second? I've got Smalling and Adebayor not playing and Hazard and Ward as first two subs who played.

Players have to not play at all in the game week to be subbed.
So Smalling and Adebayor have to not play in midweek for the subs to be used.
