Yeah, I instinctively thought it must be something to do with his attitude. There's no way in the world Wenger leaves out his best player, especially with Ozil out too. Wenger probably should have just left him on the bench for the entire match though if he's making a statement. Bringing him on to immediately humiliate him by being the catalyst for everything Arsenal did in the second half just made Wenger look like an even bigger dipshit.
Writing's on the wall now for Wenger isn't it. Rumours that that Max Allegri is going to take over though my understanding is that it's still Wenger's choice to make. Which is the height of stupidity really though when the decision would alternatively go to Ivan Gazidis whom Wenger himself gave the job, it doesn't really help.
We always thought Arsenal was one of the well-run clubs. I suppose that only comes down to staying in the black by ripping off their fans and consistently doing just enough to get that supplementary Champion's League income.
