    Cricket Fast Bowlers...who was nasty?

Well, I suppose most of them could be nasty, but to me the best of nasty was Andy Roberts.Prolly they most lethal bouncer of them all.because he had a low action, the bounces used to skid, rather than bounce. Many batsman had their mellons battered because of Andy.He was also an evil looking bugger up close.

Lillee and Thompson taught 'em to be nasty all over again, when it was all going soft.

Can't remember the name of the Pakistani fast bowler of a few years back - he was quite something.

I think Watters is talking about the guy who used to open the bowling with Akram. Tall guy who was missing a couple of fingers, but fcuked if I can remember his name. Gonna have to Google it!!!

The Pakistani bowler missing the fingers was Waqar Younis.

he once tried to pull my wife.....but no chance....

This thread ended with the first post, the most lethal bouncer in cricket history was Andy Roberts'. On the contrary though, he is a very nice and charming man, but is very shy.

^Nope his name was not WY.It was something like affes or something like that.

Roberts might be shy and a nice bloke, but that's got nothing to do with sport though...

    Azeem Hafeez (hand missin').

Aussie comedian Billy Birmingham did a great recording called 'The Twelfth Man'..He called him "Half-heez hand missing"...A good laugh it is.

Waqar Younis also has missing parts of his digits.....and he was a far better player than Azeem Hafeez. Far quicker as well.

    Dennis Compton.

Or "Dennis the Mennace" as he was aptly named ...his time was probably a bit before you guys were around but a had a lethal reputation.

Still a bluddy boring game though

yup.... he wasn't much threat as a bowler at all....

as a batsman though DCSC was a great...even played for the Arsenal as well. Well known ladies man who was sponsored by Brylcreem, unheard of in those days.
