Fear of losing. Tyson knew he couldn't beat Holyfield so he deliberately bit him to get disqualified, rather than lose or get knocked out same as their first fight.
Once Tyson had lost that intimidation factor, losing to Buster Douglas in Tokyo, he was never the same fighter. Wilder will be the same.

^^Saw that. Also read somewhere that he'd said he would have beaten an in-prime Mike Tyson. Fucking delusional...

You're right, Wilder is not even ballpark.

It'll be interesting if Joshua faces Wilder. I reckon if Joshua sits back and tries to box then he'll get knocked out, but if he just steams in (coming in behind the jab), accepts he'll take a few right hands, but offloads on Wilder then he'll knock him out in 3 rounds.

Like most, I'm thinking that Fury beats Joshua.

&, I'm so sick of Eddie Hearn and his propaganda machine.

I also reckon that Whyte has (and always has had hence why Wilder's management avoid him) the style to beat Wilder because he can take heavy shots then get inside and bully Wilder then knock him out within 5 rounds. Whyte may be a tricky fight for Fury because he has unusually long arms too. Then again, Fury might just school him.

Quite funny how the Wilder management miscalculated so badly by taking the first Fury fight. They'd tried for so many years to drip feed Wilder crap opponents and keep the golden goose laying eggs, but they got greedy thinking Fury was no good after his mental health issues; I bet they really didn't want the second fight either, but the money was there, and Wilder himself wanted the fight (not the management). Not sure if Wilder can get back to the top - worst move would be to fight Fury next because they'll be a worse beating for him; but, $20,000,000 or so is an incentive (I'd sit down with Cyrille and have a beer for that kinda money, well maybe not...).

Agree with all the above, and i also think Dillian Whyte is way under rated.
Since his (only?) loss to AJ and beating Derek War Chisora (another fighter who has got better with age), he has come on in leaps and bounds, and is one of THE MOST hard hitting dangerous boxers out there.
    He'd destroy Wilder in 3.

Yep heard that on the news this morning too, what a wanker. he's said he'll take the option of a third fight too. Now i can't imagine how Fury will use yhe costume comment.

I skipped a page and missed that. The guy's a fool, and if he takes the Fury fight straight away then he'll get beaten again.

I do not think that the third fight will happen regardless of what Wilder says. The money will not be there for a third fight as nobody will care to see it. Wilder got his ass kicked plan and simple. I expect he will step aside after finding a convenient excuse like a training injury or something so that Fury can fight Joshua. Mark my words the third fight will not happen before Fury-AJ.

It won't be if he is guaranteed to fight the winner of Fury-AJ.

^^Nah. The fight between Fury and AJ will be massive. Wilder will get 'step aside' money to wait in the wings and take a couple of tune-ups to get his confidence back again. Maybe change his style a bit too.

Apparently, for this fight Wilder got about US$40,000,000.

For the trilogy fight he'd get 40% of a lesser total, so a complete guestimate here, but maybe US$15,000,000 to US$20,000,000.

How much would he want to set aside and let Fury v Joshua? Maybe US$10,000,000 - not sure if he'll get it, maybe he would get half after negotiation? If he could get somewhere in that range and be signed up to fight the winner then he's on big bucks and has time to prepare.

Who says he is entitled to a rematch?

It's up to the various organisations to decide who is next in line for a title shot.

There is a contract. Fury signed a deal with ESPN that included a rematch clause for a third fight.

Just said on sky sports news, that Wilder will be excercising the rematch clause.

Without the 40 pound Black Panther outfit no doubt.

Right, I have Wilder to win match 3 with a first round knockout - you heard it here first (and probably last too...).

But he can't fight for the title unless the WBC says he can. Dillian Whyte is the current WBC mandatory challenger.

And Joshua is supposed to fight Pulev.

So they have to make everyone happy whichever of the two bouts they fancy.

Hearn wants Fury to beat up Wilder again, which means Joshua will have to face Pulev or lose a title; Fury to face (in theory) Joshua; then Wilder to fight the winner.

That all takes a ton of negotiation.

Fucking hell, don't you chumps know anything?

Best guess f all happens for months , never does.
Why have boxers and ufc fighters started moving their jaws about, like they're all tensed up?
Wilder did it after he took off that black history costume .
I'm sure they never used to do it.
