Don't think a rematch would be a big seller. Ok, if the fight was close or one of them got robbed it'd be interesting, but that was a one-sided demolition.

Agreed. The heavyweight fight of choice is the title unifier.

Good breakdown video of the fight here, for those of us who'd like to understand boxing a little more.
Though I think he should have mentioned the dirty boxing, from Fury, ie hitting after the ref yelled stop in the clinch as it played a part .

    What you think?
"What Really Happened (Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 2)"

Fury didn't piss about showboating either, just a bit of bit of tongue waggling..

Watch this for 6 seconds : 14 to 20...................Boxing: Tyson Fury beats Deontay Wilder with 7th round TKO

He uses his left like a girl.

Admittedly he does have abnormally long arms.

Wilder caught him in the first 30 seconds with a punch that could have finished the fight, and he was always dangerous. If the corner hadn't thrown the towel in then when Fury was looking to end the fight and throw a lot of punches, Wilder could have caught him (he was still throwing with intent).

That's kinda the thing with Wilder, he always looks average accept when he gets on top after landing a big punch. He was losing just about every round to Ortiz in both fights until he landed his leveller. Wilder can beat anybody, but can get overwhelmed by good boxers and made to look useless (until he lands his big punches, or not...).
    Cycling should be banned!!!

...are you really using six seconds to judge a fighter.

Here we go all over again, Valve-gate Part Whatever with the intractable Prancer.

I heard on the commentary that he apparently had a re-match clause in his contract for that fight.

    I guess that'll probably specify a time-frame also?

If these two are the best boxing has to offer, the heavyweight division is in a sad state of affairs.
Fury is a clumsy, mediocre fighter. If he wasn’t 6’9, 270, he’d be a nobody. Deontay Wilder flat out cannot box. Technically awful.

^Nah. Fury is extremely agile for his size, and who in the HW division has never used their physical advantage.? He is also a very smart boxer and comes in with a game plan. Apparently, one that no one has thought of before, - keeping Wilder on the back foot where he cannot throw the right hand bombs.
Wilder got a right hand in the ear that ruptured his eardrum and threw off his balance in the 3rd round. That was the 1st knockdown, and he was basically done after that. His corner saved him from a beating and perhaps worse, as he was leaking 'fluid' as well as blood from his left ear.
There is a rematch clause for Wilder-Fury III, but there wasn't many questions unanswered after Saturday and I doubt PPV numbers would get anywhere near the 2 previous fights. Hoping Fury and Joshua gets made later this year. UK's biggest fight ever.

    True that.
Mike Tyson was an animal, and I almost respect the anger and frustration, biting Holyfield’s ear.
Tyson Fury, can’t keep his tongue in his mouth. He looks like a frigging idiot.

Deontay Wilder has blamed his elaborate ring-walk costume for his WBC heavyweight title defeat by Tyson Fury.
