At 31 Khan's looking a bit shopworn. You can't exercise or add muscle to chins to make them better, sadly.
He got the decision, but on this showing, Kell Brook would slaughter him, so would agingone
^Lol. Caught that fight at the weekend. Also was a meaningful fight between 2 of the top Welterweights on the same night in US; Shaun Porter narrowly outpointing Danny Garcia. for the WBC strap at 147lbs.
I agree that Khan looks on the slide for this fight, he has always been a bit vulnerable but it makes for exciting fights and he has never been in a dull fight, to give him credit. However, the top Welters right now would all give him a pasting; Spence, Crawford, Thurman, etc. Interesting that after the fight, Khan was calling out Pacquiao. Probably the biggest payday out there that's not involving a hammering for him, tbh. Wait and see.
Porcelain chinned Khan looked a bit fleshy too
Biggest fight for quite a while this weekend. The rematch between GGG and Canelo to decide who is the world's top Middleweight.
Golovkin who got cheated out of a majority decision last time out is now 36yo, and probably on the slide. His nemesis Canelo the golden-bollocks Mexican cash-cow, is probably in his prime at 28, although for this fight -without the PED's that undoubtedly helped him get so far in the sport. Intriguing matchup, and seems like there is some genuine bad-blood between the two fighters and boxing camps due to the failed drug test, cheating allegations and judging controversy from the initial fight. Maybe both fighters going for a KO to make a definitive statement.. Anyone picking a winner here? According to the bookies, GGG is a slight favourite.

^ Another easy victory for GGG.
^Me too. Hoping that GGG absolutely fucking hammers ginger nuts this time round, but Golovkin has faded last few fights and Canelo might have got better since the last outing. He will certainly have gotten used to fighting and walking round as a genuine 160lb-er by now.
We will see how much the "tainted beef" Clenbuterol PED that Alvarez (and a lot of other Mex fighters, btw) was using was helping him during their first fight..
Heart says GGG by KO. Head says Canelo by decision.
Fight is in the 4th. Here is a link;

I give Alverez a 1 round lead.
GGG comes back. This is going to be close.
WOW! This is why I miss the old 16 round fights. If this went longer no way Canelo would have made it. GGG finished big. So let see.
Oh my god what a robbery. This is the worst decision I have ever seen. GGG was robbed.
I dont agree with the decision at all But thats boxing..
I thought GGG won.
Me too. From Compubox: By CompuBox numbers, Golovkin outlanded Alvarez (234-202) overall, and threw more (879-622), too. But Alvarez did have a 143-116 edge in power punches, as much of Golovkin’s landed totals came from a jab that he pumped out pretty consistently. Alvarez had a higher overall connect percentage (32-27%) and higher power punch connect percentage (39-35%). Golovkin outjabbed Canelo, 118-59.
Canelo impressed me with his strength and durability though. Some excellent counter-punching and was the aggressor moving forwards for most of the fight. This is what US judges like, and he was always going to get any close-ish decision anyway on Mexico Day in Vegas..
GGG had him reeling in a few of the later rounds, and the Golovkin of a few years ago would have finished him right there.. But he couldn't step on the gas to put him away anymore. You can pencil in a rubber-stamp match maybe in early 2019, but GGG does not have the invincible aura about him anymore, and I think the next fight will be a wider margin for Canelo.
A sad way to leave a legacy. Two wins that he should not have had and GGG is at the end of his career and would have been able to go out on top if he was not robbed twice. This really will do lasting damage to the sport if you ask me. I must say that on twitter it just exploded in rage over this decision.

The fact that these two judges both gave Canelo the twelfth round is absurd. The last three rounds he was just getting tattooed.
The 12th round was the decider, and no way Canelo won that round. Having said that, GGG should have put him away when he had the chance, and the only way he's gong to win any rematch against golden bollocks is to stop him / knock him out. I'm not sure Golovkin can do that now.. He needs to trust his titanium chin and go for broke in the next fight, if there is one.
Predictably, Floyd Mayweather chose the biggest day in boxing to come out with a statement saying he is rematching Manny Pacquiao in December. The stink from the last turd that was their over-anticipated showdown three years ago having only just cleared, Mayweather thinks he can do eight figures with a rematch. As if the general public are that stupid... Oh, wait!

There were a couple of good fights on that undercard. The trash talking Paddy with the stupid moustache getting knocked out in the first round and the ex pound for pound number one did a job on the bigger guy.
