Best thing is to do is to bet the exact opposite of your first thought on any fight..

You have been completely and solidly wrong on just about every match-up on this thread.
If I was still fighting, I would shit my boxing shorts and probably retire if you backed me.

^People tend to forget what an uber-twat Chris Sr used to be and mostly still is. Mainly because he took a lot of punishment in later fights, against Calzaghe, Collins, and Carl Thompson. Made him look vulnerable and therefore acceptable to the British public..
The UK public thought he was the world#1 during the 90's.

The likes of Roy Jones Jr; James Toney, Michael Nunn, Mike McCallum, et al would have wiped the floor with him.

    Smith vs Alverez

Hard to place my customary outside bet here
I don't like the high street bookies 6-1 odds
I don't like the high and super tight peep-a boo-guard Smith seems to favour

    Alverez having his vitamins here

I would love for the kid to KO Alvarez. The guy needs a reality check. Put up or shut the fuck up. Go kid. Nice to have free fights here.

    Alvarez

This under card fight might be fun
    Gabriel Rosado vs. Willie Monroe

I love some aggro at the weigh ins : nothing missing here-

Nice one Ageing One , yeah everyone back there will be rooting for Smithy who just happens to come from Liverpool who have produced more than its fair share of World Champions in the past , but win lose or draw it will be a nice little earner for him .I forgot to add watch this young kid Joseph Diaz Jnr on the undercard I reckon he's the biz .

This Munro fight is very boring after 5 rounds. This might put it into perspective:

    Oh dear...

Men v Boys in the first round.

Second round; started as a punchbag then had some success.

Well one thing is for sure. We now know why Canelo avoids GGG. He would get his butt kicked. Smith is easily finding open shots, but no where near the power of GGG.

Smith is doing well; looks small, but tough. But, getting caught with lots of body shots and cuts too, so...

Canelo is pretty good and would give GGG a good fight.

Smith just doesn't have the power or size. His bigger brother would beat Canelo, imho.

& that's it; pretty much as everybody predicted - latish stopping by a body shot. Smith is tough, but small. Why do Canelo and GGG always fight guys so much smaller than themselves???

Yeah that was the pattern of the fight all the way through , Smith was game enough but just did'nt have the power to keep Alvarez from marching forward , that would be different if he ever fought GGG , as you remarked Smith gave him a decent fight but after he dropped Smith for the first time I thought the writing was on the wall for a stoppage being Smith could not keep him off ,and thanks Bsnub for the info , I see young Jo Jo Diaz who I mentioned earlier did a clinical display of Box fighting to stop a decent opponent in one of the late rounds ,all in all a good nights boxing and with a live gate of 51,000 plus PPV the fight must have been a financial success for all concerned .

This is the tragedy of the fight. All those concerned are Golden Boy Productions.

Who could not give a shit about a GGG fight as long as Canelo can fill the seats. Canelo vs Willie Monroe who won tonight. Give me a freaking break.

Probably but maybe by this time next year he might get a tad more powerful which would make things a tad more interesting.

What is Canelo like 26? No need to rush the GGG thing, damn nearly everyone GGG beats looks like they never really the same boxer thereafter.

Thanks for the stream sites lads, worked fine from sunny sunny Fiji ... my liver was hurting just watching that punishment
