Easy fight for Khan. The old fella is slow and his right hand drags the floor, he will get whacked, whacked and whacked some more. A stoppage by round 4 or 5. Tooooo easy.
BB At this level nothing comes easy ,Khan is not a noted banger by any means ,Collazo is a seasoned veteran who has gone the limit with far heavier punchers than Khan , so the way I see it unless Khan gets stopped its going the distance, but in Boxing there are always surprise's ,what ifs,and bad decisions ,having said all that I will go for Collazo on points or even a late stoppage ,but that,s just my opinion and of course I could be wrong but that is hardly a crime on this thread were all opinions are and should be respected , just sorry it does not appear in other threads were opinions often widely differ

^ Khan can keep his distance and throw 1-2s and left hooks on the right side where the fella refuses to hold his hand up; his eye will close within 3 rounds, cuts, etc, then Khan can take him to pieces, the ref will step in. Won't make it to the 6th round...

The fella is slow and has an average to poor defence, that plays right into Khan's hands as long as Khan keeps his distance and focuses on speed to get in and out, aswellas throwing a very high rate of punches.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

I mean lets have it right BB Collazo at 33 is hardly Wheel chair material is he? , the sport is littered with boxer's who got the world title at an age far advanced than Collazo's , its always been said in boxing that his power of punch is the last thing to leave him , but its an intriguing fight , along with quite a few more in the next month or two we can look forward to eh ,and keep them posts a coming cos I just love and respect others point of view because that,s what makes the sport tick

Come on now, don't confuse khan with a fighter posessing a working brain; he's bound to revert to type, ie get drawn into a brawl and twatted on the chin- though his nose is overdue for a testing -blacks flat noses are what you need in boxing .

Khan seems to get caught with that counter left ? often
    like here
in his last fight he went on to win .

    or here

or here just after about 40 seconds

even as an amature here ,

    etc
So they were all orthodox boxers that exploited this flaw, but Luis Collazo is a southpaw , now not being that knowledgeable on boxing I'm wondering what are the
ramifications of this , will the flaw be more or less exposed ?

^ Thanks for the video's Blue , Garcia whilst a great Boxer is not really known for his concussive hitting power unraveled Khan with just one punch after that he was "out of it" ,his jaw for me has always been suspect , OK he survived the onslaught by Maidana but was moon walking in the last round and all it needed was for Maidana to connect one more time and that would been end of, for the life in me I cannot see Collazo getting stopped ,all in all a 50/50 match up ,will Khan have a plan B if he gets tagged?, that remains to be seen!

I agree with both of you, but after watching the old fella's last fight: 1) he doesn't have much; 2) he is made for Khan, or any fast boxer with a fast left hand.

But, seems as Khan has a big ego and a weak chin (not thaaaaaat weak), he is always likely to be put on the floor when he is too confident and going in to finish the opponent off, or just switches off and gets twatted. Khan has the tools to have won all the fights he lost, but... He will never be top dollar, he has shown that; he probably had the ability, but cannot apply it as needed.

But, I don't see how that NYer brings much to the party. If Khan wants to (keeps out of range, works with his speed, trains hard to get the fitness and stamina) then it could be a completely one-sided punch bag session...

Roll on May 3rd !, meanwhile this weekend its the return match Pac man V Bradley , hard one to call but I'll go for Manny as I thought he just about deserved the nod last time they fought .

I think Pac Man too. Although, I like him less and less as time goes on. &, he hasn't put in a top performance for a while.

To be candid BB I thought in his last fight with Brandon Rios he showed a bit of the old sparkle ,and I thought he stepped off the gas in the last couple of rounds when IMHO he could well have stopped him ,whoever wins barring cuts this one for me just has to go the distance ,and it will certainly reveal if Mannys best days are behind him cos Bradley is so far unbeaten and is no tomato can!

Yeah AO it was a one punch KO of Ortiz with a sizzling right hook.

No he didn't. The fight was even, neither of them looked good, and Ortiz walked onto a close right hook. Both looked a bit clueless, imho...

I didn't see that fight, so maybe he was good. I stopped bothering to watch his fights in the last couple of years because they were a bit, well, lesser than before.

He knocked him out at the end of the second round, Ortiz did win the first, but was losing the second when he got clocked. You make it sound like it went 10 rounds or so.

It was hardly 'beat the shit out of' - the fight hadn't got going, and neither fighter looked good. Just as well it finished early because looked like it'd be quite a boring even fight of 2 hasbeens...

You might wanna stick to frying eggs, AO... Saw the fresh cream today, nice and only 33 baht for a little tub, hmmm...

It seems you and I saw a very different fight. Watch Collazo beat the shit out of the Paki mouth.

One thing for sure is we won't have long to wait will we, it could well be that to certain members including myself this fight will stir more passions than the main event will, and ain't that the truth?

No shit P, this is the one I am waiting for. Betty is sure, I am sure, going to be a cracker. But I still give Maidano a shot. One well timed punch to Floyds chin is the only shot he has. If he does not go down, this guy can finish, if he is in shape and just plays cool. 4/1 from me though.

One of the better cards in a long time. Better than the Pac man card for sure..

So sad to read this story but sadly an all to familiar one I may add, many of boxings greats have finished up on "skid row" , Trinidad of course being no exception Felix Trinidad is reportedly broke - Bad Left Hook

Just a thought AO ,some times Manny's fights are shown on Thai TV so it would do no harm to check them too.

Per TV, channel 7 at 1100 hours. It's HBO PPV, which is normally on True, but I don't see it.
