I would really love to see the fight unfortunately it is too late for Manny. Too old and too slow and Mayweather would just out-box and out-run him.

^Just for the record, and in case the fight does take place, I disagree.

Actually there is very little difference in age ,however even though I really like Manny as a person and as far as I'm concerned there's not a lot to like about Mayweather , I have to think with my head not my heart , for me I have to agree with LT that Mayweather will run rings around Manny (if it ever happens) , but as this thread is about the "noble art"and is all about difference's of opinion on boxers merits between us boxing buffs, I value and appreciate your opinion just the same as I value LT's , maybe Kmart would like to throw his hat in the ring on this very subject ,over to you Kmart .

^ BTW it would give me great pleasure to be proved wrong and Manny's hand is raised at the end of the fight ,or even better if he flattens Mayweather

Bit tired of all the endless debate about Pac vs Floyd, tbh. That it has not happened so far is a disgrace, imo.
They are both fighters in their mid-30's, Manny has a lot of miles on the clock now, but has looked good in recent fights. Floyd has looked human in his last 2 fights against the Argentinian brawler Maidana, he got caught and stunned with punches in both fights also.
They both know that their legacies depend on this fight (how much more fucking money do they need..?), and without this fight it will always be a disclaimer on either fighter's claim to legendary status. (All the previous greats managed to fight each other at least once).

But after all the never-ending crap about purse percentage, weight limits, drug-testing, promoter's involved, etc; etc, this fight is still just pie-in-the-sky, and offered to fans as a stick-carrot to keep buying bum match-ups and fight cards. There's other things happening in boxing, move along, nothing happening here.

I would love to see Manny pumble Mayweather but based on what I have seen over the last few years I truly believe that cannot happen. Mayweather's skills as a cunning boxer/evader have only improved and this will see him through.

I dated Fury recently. He was very gentle - used deodorant & mouthwash.

I just read where a UAE consortium has ponyed up 200 Million US to fund a Pacquaio/Mayweather fight. 110 million guaranteed to Mayweather. Presumably 90 Million to Manny. Fight does not have to be held in UAE.

Maybe this will kick it over the edge!

I was really looking forward to that fight 5 years ago (or was it 10 year ago?), but now I wouldn't bother to watch it or have any interest in the result; well past its sell-by-date, imho...

Hmm not so sure ,Maidana is not as fast as Manny and he caught Mayweather quite a few times ,having said that, IF the fight ever comes off I expect Mayweather to outbox Manny but he will know for sure he's been in a scrap , footnote ,one of the few fights I would take great pleasure in being proved wrong

Well here we go again-it's my favourite Pakistani boxer Amir khan in action tonight vrs Devon Alexander.
I've put my money where my mouth is and backed Alexander.
with a small side on the draw- we overdue one ..

I love hating khan so and hope he get schooled again .
Not so sure its going to happen, but 2-1 seems generous
    and 25-1 for the draw.
Good article on his shortcomings here

Won it easily, Wattsy reckons he only lost one round and scored it 119-110.

Pasting, almost felt sorry for the other guy - speed kills, especially when it's in very fast 4 and 5 punch combos. By the time Alexander threw back, Khan was gone.

One judge scored it 120-108... I saw it as 2 drawn rounds and Khan winning all the others easily, but no 10-8 rounds.

    Blue must've hated that fight...

    Oh no , Oh no
woke up to find all my money gone ....
thank fuck khan has no fans, so no one bothered to put up a torrent, so no wasting a hour..

Kell Brook beat Shawn Porter who beat Alexander all in the last year -
so why didnt khan fight brook ?

Never mind, I'll enjoy it more , when he finally has to face a real challenger on the way up -
Khans head must be fucking massive now, but he still has no belt .

finally might get mayweather vs pacquiao in may ?
    or not ...

For me it was a complete "shut out" with the Paki winning every round , I can't see the Mayweather fight coming off though ,not with a purse of a reported 250 million in the offing if Mayweather fights Manny .
