Have to cheer on a Aussie this Saturday with Liam Wilson (11-1, 7KO) versus Emanuel Navarrese (36-1, 30KO)
Fight is at Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona.
Navarrete is stepping up to try and win the super featherweight belt to join his featherweight and super bantam weight belts.
Wilson is 6cm taller with more reach so I hope it works out for him with his hitting power.
The Bookies would have him rated as a rank outsider but I m hoping for a upset.

    Ah well that's OK then.

Conor Benn to return to WBC rankings as 'highly-elevated consumption of eggs' explanation for failed drugs test

Conor Benn documented and highly-elevated consumption of eggs during the times relevant to the sample collection, raised a reasonable explanation for the adverse finding; the British Boxing Board of Control will continue ongoing investigation into Benn's failed test.

Should be a good blue with Tim Tszyu facing the motormouth Tony Harrison in Sydney on Sunday
for the WBO Super Welterweight belt, seems Harrison is the Bookies choice but I will be cheering Tim on.

He's not actually, but was. That will sound strange obviously but I looked at the market once the fight was first locked in and Harrison was the favourite, but now he's the outsider. Not sure if the Bookies are simply evening out their potential profit/loss ledger under the weight of money coming in for Tszyu or their insiders have seen something we don't get to hear about from the training camps.

Either way I don't care as I will never bet on boxing but it should be a good fight to watch, a very strong guy with heavy hands who'll try to bulldoze a former world champion that's got all the skills.

Harrison has been pretty inactive over the last several years, Tszyu on the other hand has a rather thin resume, having only fought once outside of OZ.

Tszuyu's getting the better of this.

Considering he's only 20 he's doing extremely well against a far more experienced opponent.

Impressive! Tszuyu is the real deal. But it should have been stopped earlier. Harrison took too many shots at the end.

It is not like Harrison is old, he is only 32.

The coverage I watched had Charlo on the panel who, like Harrison, had absolutely zero respect for Tszyu. Had.

One thing that's pissed me off a bit in the lead-up on American media is the big deal they've made out of Harrison having to fly 24hrs to the other side of the world for this fight. How the fuck do they think every Aussie that's ever fought in America got there? By snapping their fingers and suddenly being in Vegas?

Headworx,i agree about the Americans attitude about Tim,Charlo might re-break his hand now that he has seen
    Tim demolish Harrison.
Tim has the attacking style of his old man.really surprised Harrison and you could see it was going to
end badly for the motormouth but will give Harrison his dues for being a graceful loser after the fight.
On the undercard, Nikita Tszyu showed his style in flogging Belbin with a TKO.

^There's already talk that Charlo might vacate that division, I'd really like to see him and Tszyu fight though. Charlo has said Tszyu wouldn't stand a chance against his jab, hand speed, experience, and power. Just as Harrison did too, almost word for word. At no point was Tszyu in any sort of trouble yesterday, Harrison got a few jabs through but there was no power in them and Tszyu never stopped coming forward as the aggressor throwing power punches that score points and would fucking hurt!

Harrison won the first round by as far as a round can be won by without a knock down as Tszyu barely threw a punch, but I couldn't give him 10 points for clearly winning a round after that. Neither could the guys on Showtime. You could *maybe* toss the coin on 1 or 2 rounds but the stats don't lie and Tszyu threw a completely disproportionate amount of power punches that connected from Round 2 and onwards. But, and this is the reason I never bet on boxing, have a look at the scorecards up to Round 9 including who won Round 1

No, he wasn't, but Harrison did not help himself by fighting Tszyu's fight. Basically, he stood in front of him and took shots, not behavior characteristic of a boxer, not to mention that the ring was comically small. But don't get me wrong, I am not trying to take anything away from Tszyu. But in Vegas in a proper championship size ring, I could see Charlo leading him around the ring and dropping shots from the outside which would frustrate the short armed Tszyu.

There's like 1 to 1.5 inches difference between Tszyu and Charlo in both height and reach, nothing even close to the numbers he just gave away to Harrison. Tszyu has of course already fought in America in his fight previous to yesterday and won, I don't think the size of the rings over there is going to come into it. Anyway let's see, nobody from America gave him a snowballs chance in hell yesterday and it'll be exactly the same story for all the same reasons when/if he fights Charlo.

Wrong there. I would never underestimate a son of Kostya Tszyu.
