He's got to be tempted if the money's right, surely.

Poor aj lost his marbles there.

I see bsnub's snarling distaste for British fighters has been triggered again.

Somebody make him some beans on toast, purchased in a Seattle shop.

Let's face it, the only chance AJ has of another decent payday is by begging Fury to come out of retirement and give him a hiding.

With all the sport on yesterday, I dozed off when some massively obese chinky was undulating around the ring.

Did watch the last few rounds of the Jack-Rivera fight. That was pretty good, and even though Rivera lost, fucking hell he took some mighty punches and just carried on. Another split decision called "controversial".

Callum Smith polished off his opponent in four.

If any torrents appear of last nights fights, please post them here.

Is that so? How would you explain my fondness for Fury, then? I was even rooting for him to beat Wilder.

Why on earth would Fury even consider such a thing? AJ is finished.

Where's Wilder? I reckon he'd beat both these guys from this morning but at least they'd be good fights to watch (in theory)

That's exactly who would watch it, and Sky would be flogging it for Bt1,000 a pop.

It's realistically the only chance he's got left of earning some good money before retiring.

Meanwhile, Mighty Tyson has given promoters a week to come up with 500 million for him to fight Usyk.

Two undefeated fighters facing each other and an undisputed heavyweight champion would be cool.

QUIZ QUESTION: He'd be the first undisputed heavyweight champion since....who?

Vasiliy Lomachenko is on course to challenge Devin Haney for the undisputed lightweight championship at the start of 2023 should both come through their upcoming fights, says Top Rank boss Bob Arum.

Haney currently reigns supreme at the top of the division after out-boxing George Kambosos Jr in June to clinch the belts in Australia, with the pair set to meet again in an October 16 rematch at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena.

The winner of that fight potentially lies in store for Lomachenko, with the Ukrainian due to return to the ring against Jamaine Ortiz in October.

"A contract is a contract and in order to secure that fight for Devin [Haney], we had to agree that if we won - which he did - there would be a rematch in Australia," said Arum of the Haney-Kambosos rematch.

Vasiliy Lomachenko on course for undisputed world championship blockbuster at start of 2023, says promoter Bob Arum | Boxing News | Sky Sports

Anthony Joshua says he would be ready to fight Tyson Fury 'in December' after the WBC champion proposed a "Battle of Britain" heavyweight clash.

Talks had begun to match Fury, the WBC titlist, with Oleksandr Usyk, the Ukrainian who beat Joshua last month to defend the unified WBO, WBA and IBF belts, in an undisputed heavyweight championship fight.

But it has emerged that Usyk will not be able to box again this year. It leaves Fury looking for an opponent. He wants that to be former champion Joshua next.

You know what they say, the first three things that go with age:

    1. Your memory
    2. Your looks
    3. Your memory

I don't care how good Golovkin is, the age gap is a big ask.

No he needs to retire. The previous two fights were much better, and he actually won the draw. He was robbed in that one.

There was supposed to be a Benn-Eubank Jr. fight this weekend but it is in doubt because Benn possibly failed a dope test.
    Then passed one.

All of a bit of a shit show really.

Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr's fight could be cancelled this weekend after the British Boxing Board of Control stepped in and said the bout was "prohibited" following a failed drug test.

Promoters Matchroom Boxing and Wasserman Boxing had issued a joint statement insisting the bout would go ahead despite Benn returning an "adverse analytical finding for trace amounts of a fertility drug".

However, the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) said the fight, scheduled to take place at the O2 Arena on Saturday, was "not in the interests of boxing".

The BBBofC said in a statement: "On the evening of 4 October 2022, the board of the British Boxing Board of Control Limited resolved that the contest between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn scheduled to take place on 8 October 2022 is prohibited as it is not in the interests of boxing.

"That was communicated to the boxers and promoters involved on the morning of 5 October 2022."

    <snip>

"The B sample has yet to be tested, meaning that no rule violation has been confirmed. Indeed, Mr Benn has not been charged with any rule violation, he is not suspended, and he remains free to fight.

"Mr Benn has since passed a doping control test conducted by the UK Anti-Doping Agency, the anti-doping authority to which the British Board of Boxing Control has delegated its doping control testing for the bout. Mr Benn has passed all doping control tests conducted by UKAD.
