    Same same, but not different...

Wilder is just so shite, but has an absolute rocket.

Great guy you are betty, but you are not knowledgeable about sports, particularly boxing. 10 defenses in a row, give the guy some credit.

^ 10 defences equalling Ali's record, but 10 defences against who?

Plus I'd say that was a fix

    You cant fake this:

Wilder might be a 'one trick pony', but that "Trick" defines hims as one of boxing's greatest ever single-punch KO artists. Julian Jackson and a few other boxers have had it; concussive one-shot power.

^ Yep definitely a lights out punch!

In fact you can see the transfer of power right through Ortiz's body upon impact.

Yep and he knows it. All he did the entire fight was use the left as a range finder constantly probing so he could land that one punch. Very one dimensional but still deadly.

Yeah, he does what he does exceptionally well; outrageously powerful.

I do look forward to the day that somebody knocks him out though - put him in there with that South Londoner with the long reach and powerful left hook who also takes a punch well. Not saying he'd beat Wilder, but he's big and tough with a long reach and decent boxing technique. I don't think anybody stands up to Wilder's best shot, so I was kinda surprised Ortiz started becoming more aggressive after the 5th round, and putting himself into Wilder's punching range - maybe just nicking rounds and staying out of range, moving to his right, would have been a better option... He made the same mistake last time. He could have won one or both of those fights if he'd followed Bettyboo's advice...

They don't make 'em like that anymore....

Just come across, IMO, the greatest heavyweight fight i have ever seen.
Round 4 out of 5 was just unfuckingbelievable.
    Boxing, nah.
Slugfest of who can punch the other out first? Oh yeah.
George Foreman vs Ron Lyle 1976.
Voted heavyweight fight of the year by Ring Magazine.

Deontay Wilder will be back in the ring Feb. 22 against Tyson Fury, thirteen weeks after demolishing Luis Ortiz to retain his WBC heavyweight title.

^ you going to a soapy, Dilly?

Just gonna put this out there:

Joshua is gonna win comfortably, a big knockout.

Ok, he lost the first fight when he had the other fighter on the ropes then got caught on the temple and never recovered; happened to many a good fighter when thwacked on the temple... End of. It'll be over within 4 rounds (maybe 5)(or 6)(or more)(or it could be a draw)(or the other fella gonna win).

Motivated Ruiz Not Surprised Joshua Is Favored In Rematch

By Keith Idec Published On Sat Nov 30, 2019, 08:34 AM EST

Andy Ruiz Jr. provided an emphatic reminder six months ago that odds-makers sometimes get it entirely wrong.
Most Las Vegas and Internet handicappers installed Anthony Joshua as at least a 20-1 favorite to defeat Ruiz in the days leading up to their June 1 fight at Madison Square Garden in New York. An underestimated Ruiz wasn’t quite a Buster Douglas-like underdog, but his seventh-round stoppage of Joshua amounted to the biggest heavyweight championship upset since Hasim Rahman knocked out Lennox Lewis in the fifth round 18 years earlier in Brakpan, South Africa.
Nevertheless, even after Ruiz floored Joshua four times and definitively defeated the previously unbeaten British superstar, Joshua is favored to win their immediate rematch. The 30-year-old Joshua (22-1, 21 KOs) is consistently listed as more than a 2-1 favorite to avenge his loss to Ruiz (33-1, 22 KOs) on December 7 at Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

That last fight was probably a fiddle too, to keep Joshua away from Wilder and Fury a while longer and grab another big payday.

I reckon Joshua will win this time and stop the fat Mexican in round 9

I agree with the earlier comments on Heavy Weight boxing, its not been worth watching in over a decade imho, same with Formula One. The lighter weights are much better watch.
