I never said it is not a slave song. RUGBY CLUBS in England sing a vast range of songs when drunk. One of them is Swing Low which has, childishly, various arm movements for each word in the chorus. Has been sung for as long as I can remember; which is decades, and must have been before that. You realise this is talking about Rugby I take it? Actually thinking about it now the only anthem I find vaguely pleasant is the South African one. I may only understand the one verse from five but it's a pretty impressive blending of languages.
