Poker Face (TV, 2023)

A quirky inverted detective story (think Motive if you watched that) with the actress out of Russian Doll.
She plays a woman who can tell when people are lying and has to go on the run from a mob boss.

I enjoyed it. Some unusual cameos, too.

OK, I have a thing for Natasha Lyonne (waiting for the next episode to drop).

She’s starring in a new series “Poker Face” that will be aired starting January 26. If she’s as good in Poker Face as she was in Russian Doll it will be great.

"Fleishman is in trouble". An eight episode comedy from FX centred around a Manhattan doctor, newly divorced gets into the Tinder scene. Has a bitchy ex (Clare Danes, formerly of 'Homeland'), and a less than happy young daughter. Has that quick fire comic action in a typical New York Jewish style.

Watched it last night, I thought pretty bad. If the story line had been spun out to 6 one hour episodes it might of been OK, as it was it was as if the 6 episodes had been very poorly edited into a two hour movie.
