We've had a bit of a binge, going the movies almost every weekend.

As above, we watched Elvis and loved it . . . the whole thing was brilliant.

My wife likes a bit of alternative/Indie movies and we went to watch 'Lunana, a yak in the classroom'.

Simply exceptional viewing, very different in pace and drive with an unexpected ending . . . I guess it isn't Hollywood.


A few glasses of wine in big cinema seats . . . and a great movie. Absolutely to be recommended.

Again, very good choice, a very good movie with excellent acting and storyline:

Three very different movies, all of them definitely worth shelling out a few dollars for . . . after all, going to the movies for special films beats downloaded stuff.


Oh yea, also saw the last Jurassic Park movie last month - crap.

Following on from Toast of London.
I like Matt Berry - thought London and Year of the Rabbit were great. But they didn't seem to get much recognition - maybe its not to everyone's taste - british humour.

There were 2 seasons made around 10 years ago by a different production company. Which were good.


Then the big boys bought the rights or whatever and created those two classics 3 or so years ago.


The original first 2 seasons from 10 or so years ago have the same lead actors and same location, but made by a much smaller production company. I think they've been rebranded and rereleased as something like 'Top Boy: Summerhouse'.

Yeah, I took a 2 week break and started watching the Summerhouse version and within minutes didn't care what it's origins were, just got immersed back into the story.... as you said ......
