There is good action and loads of it with some cool fight sequences. It’s just a bit unfitting when the kickass here of the story is a girl - the fit Scottish lassie from the first Jumanji remake and her mother played by the Actress of Sersi Lannister fame.

A story of hitwomen whose firm turns against them.

    No tits. Lots of blood.

6.8/10 cos it got better at the end.
    Liked that too

Watching The Killing and wondering what all the fuss is about.

The Afghan situation has also seen this find its way into my YouTube recommendations. Very interesting docu/film

    Warrior.

I've just finished 2 seasons and I'm really looking forward to them making another.

Think Gangs of New York. This series follows the Tong wars during Chinese migration to San Fransisco in the late 1800s. There are also the disgruntled Irish, who are losing jobs to the cheaper Chinese labour, locals, politicians, police etc.

Expect loads of awesome Kung Fu scenes, brawling, wars, tournaments, hookers, brothels, taverns, drugs. Loads of brutal violence and gore, and some humour too.

Based on the writings of Bruce Lee, there were around 20 producers including Bruce Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee and the creator from Banshee.

The show is in English dialogue, but they done a clever move where the Chinese speak normal amongst themselves (as they are really speaking Chinese) and in broken English when they are talking in English, if you catch my drift, which keeps the subtitles to a minimum.

I was amazed how good this was, highly recommended.

    Clickbait (TV, 2021)

A teacher gets kidnapped and appears on the internet with a poster claiming he gets killed at 5,000,000 views.

    Whacky japes ensue.

Probably padded out to get 8 episodes, but the twists and turns make it 6/10 watchable.

    The Protege (movie, 2021)

Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton and that bird out of Nikita in a professional assassin yarn.

Directed by Martin Campbell who did a couple of Bond movies, but this isn't up to that standard.

    Will pass the time 6/10.

Reminiscence with Hugh Jackman is watchable.

I won't pretend I understood the whole thing, but it was late.

I watched Target Number 1 last night. It was ok.

Got Mr Inbetween Season 3 ready to start.

I have given up on DC's Legends of Tomorrow after half of Season 1. They throw in Adult content like swearing and drugs, but it still feels like it's for kids. Hate that.

Watched E01 of this yesterday, and an episode should be up every night.

Has Martin Compston from 'Line of Duty' and the same slightly over-the-top but effective way of building tension. It's tagged as being 'From the makers of 'Line of Duty'.

    I'm hooked.

Also features a mention of the gripping 'ship or boat' dilemma.

    Half way through s01.

    For the second time.

No idea why I didn't get into it the first time round. Brilliant series.

Season 2 was way better in my opinion.

    Enjoyed Mr Inbetween season 3.

now rewatching Vikings Season 5 cos I can’t remember if I saw the second half, with Season 6 backed up to follow.

Running out of things to watch when I discovered I have never watched Mr. Mercedes (TV).

Based on a trilogy of Stephen King novels, with a very good script and anchored brilliantly by Brendan Gleeson as the gruff, retired cop.

Enjoying it enough to give it 8/10 if you haven't seen it.

It has more twists than a... er.... very twisty thing.
The idea is to try and guess whodunnit and why.
I think they managed to get just about every character in the frame before the end.

The Looming Tower (TV) is a ten parter depicting the intelligence "failures" between the FBI and CIA from the Embassy bombings up to 9/11.

Jeff Daniels heads a decent cast, although I don't know how close to or far from the truth it is.

    Watchable 7/10

I learned while reading about it that the man Jeff Daniels plays, the SIC in the FBI's NY Counterterrorism unit, resigned in August 2001... and took a job heading up WTC security, where he lost his life on 9/11.
