The actor w/ the knob head is really likable.

Yeah, that trailer was enough for me.

If you prefer the US version of 'The Office' though...

Last night I watched 'Summer of Soul or when the revolution could not be televised'
A documentary around the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival which took place over several weekends in the same year as Woodstock.
Lots of great quality footage of top artists of the time. It also places the event in its cultural and political context.
    First broadcast on Hulu.

    I enjoyed it

I think I must be going through an age related humour reset thing, as I thought the flashes of ridiculousness were funny. Remember, only the first of six. Due to its focus on perverted sex, I hesitate to recommend "Little Birds" a six episode 1950's era production set in Tangiers with a few recognisable actors.

It's adapted from Anaïs Nin's short stories.

    Building a bridge.

Never saw them do that before.

Look older. Slower. Crappier. Far past its sell by date at this stage. Didn't even get to the end of the previous 2 episodes.

I'm not a big fan of Clarkson but enjoying Clarkson's Farm.
He may act the buffoon but he obviously isn't.

    Dr. Death (TV, 2021)

(Not to be confused with Harold Shipman, the original Dr. Death).

A very well written and directed 8 episode drama based on a true story of a catastrophicly bad US surgeon who kept getting access to patients and killing or seriously injuring them until a couple of doctors started trying to stop him. Surprisingly good turns from Joshua Jackson (who I only remember from a lightweight role in Fringe), Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater as well as the rest of the cast.

    8.5/10

My parents used to take me to the Bronx zoo about that period to watch the hippies tripping. my parents were pretty much straight but this really interested them.

    Defending Jacob (TV, 2021).

An Apple TV eight parter about a DA who is investigating the murder of a schoolkid when his son gets arrested for it. Probably two episodes too long, but the twist redeems it somewhat. Watchable.

Chris Evans does enough to not remind you of Captain America.

For those who enjoyed "Turner and Hooch", the 1989 movie, Disney have just started a follow up 12 episode series (again sadly a weekly drip feed).

It's an older series, but I started watching "Boston Public" - it's about a Boston high school and is quite well done. 81 episodes. IMDB 7.3.

Blood Red Sky (Netflix, movie, 2021)

A sort of German "Vampires on a motherfucking plane".

Good horror yarn to pass the time. 6.5/10

Boston TV series. Been watching "Boston Public" and am about to start "Brotherhood".

A few more: "Boston Legal" - some good courtroom action, but some cast members can be irritating and "The Practice" - struggling, young law firm and good courtroom action.

None great, but all pretty good. Multiple series in each.l

watched the godfather of harlem - series one - and it was good enough to complete

the second series is due to finish on the 13th August - so I will wait and get the whole series

I usually watch 2 or 3 episodes a night and I like having the whole series available
