Spartacus was pretty good but understandably suffered when the original lead actor died and was replaced.

I watched the pine gap series

overall it was a bit meh - I think they stretched out the whodunnit bit with their copious canards

the soft porn was not needed and the drama relationships were just well worn cliches that seemed to be packed into the story to assuage some idea that it was a good idea

in reality , the main bits that were good were the scenery and if the setup and capability of pine gap was able to perform as they had shown

outherwise they basically fcuked up a good idea with their catering to cliched drama

I don't watch many movies. Nothing much is being made for my age group anymore, especially now with covid having suspended productions.
Last night , using a VPN to access my Amazon Prime account on my lop-top, and mirroring the lop-top on my TV, I watched "The Tomorrow war" with Chris Pratt. It was Hokey, and improbable, but entertaining.

    Just finishing up S01.

Tiz good, easy watching, the cheesy CGI are amusing in themselves.

Kinda hits what a sudden disease can do when it takes out a young, fit, strapping young man. 18 months from diagnoses, to treatment and given the clear, to relapse, to death at age 39.

"The White Lotus". This is a six episode offering from HBO, the first of which is now available (sadly, this is going to be a week by week roll out). The plot covers different guests at a luxury Hawai resort and their one week vacations, and the staff that take care of them. Some truly funny moments on an almost Fawlty Towers scale.

As you appear to be a binger, the last season of "Mr. Inbetween" has concluded.

'The Haunting of Bly Manor', 7 episodes in.'

Not as good as '...Hill House' which preceded it but watchable enough.

Just started watching the Vikings. Beautiful scenery, fast paced action. Good for a few hours. I think there is about 6 or 7 seasons, so I'm good for awhile.

Very good first few seasons. Might give them a rewatch now. Think it tapered off around S04, and didn't watch any of them fully after that. The first few are great though. It's also impossible to listen to the theme tune and not sing along in the most baritone voice you can muster while annoying everyone in the house.

Gonna give Godfather of Harlem another go, remember it not being as good as anticipated.

Are you sure it is Harlem and not Stalingrad?

    Just a moment...

yes , I watched the last 2 episodes last night - still ok , but I would say they are setting up for more

if you liked that you could try Les Norton (TV Series 2019) - IMDb - not as raw as mr inbetween , and of an earlier era
