Hey Dirk...You live in a morgue?
Just watched Infinite (2021) last night. Great action, interesting SciFi type movie. I'd give it a 8/10 for entertainment.
Probably a bit dubious about the sausage rolls.
Watched Xtremo - gory, violent revenge type movie. John Wick without the same level of story telling.
6.5/10
Cruella. A cinematic masterpiece detailing how Cruella became the character known s Cruella. Family friendly but also deep and funny enough for someone as intellectual as one's self to enjoy.
It also has Dalmations in it.
9 bones out of 10.
I wouldn't give Infinite more than 6/10. A bit like the Avengers fuckfests where the stories and the scripts were far distant in importance from the CGI.
Gangs of New York
Another Martin Scorsese offering, whereby if you haven’t seen it you really should have.
8.8/10
I wasn't knocked out by it at the time.
Might be due for a reappraisal.
I tried re-watching 'The Departed' last week but, as it did the first time around, Mark Wahlberg's character really, really grated on me.
a regular undertaker...
Because a futuristic movie can cross all kinds of boundaries but as soon as you introduce aliens it becomes an alien movie. It was an interesting concept before they introduced aliens.
Yes, so you think time travel will happen before aliens.
Interesting thesis.
Except knowing the aliens are coming, wouldn't you go back in time and annihalate them in the first five minutes of the movie while they were still weak and defenceless?
AHA!
And that my friends is what is called "Dirk's Paradox".
