Wow thanks, made my day, I downloaded several versions mostly from thepiratebay proxies and none were English subbed. Maybe the proxies have different sources.
Deflated!
As I suspected it says subbed but isn't.
^Sorry. Just went by what it said and none of the comments said there were no subs.
On 1337x.to, go to 2nd page after searching. 6 down the listing. Remastered version. Claims Eng subs.

I have the same torrent from piratebay.
update: The 2nd one is dling right now, but just discovered the first one you called actually is subbed and just needs to be configured - VLC/subtitle/subtrack/1; not sure how much of a hassle on a TV but worst case scenario it's a good working copy for computer watch.
Thanks again.
^The remastered version? Did it work?
What language is it in FFS? Burt Lancaster is in it.
it's the Visconti movie? it's listed as a Franco-Italian production
I don't understand what's going on, all versions I dloaded from piratebay were supposed to be subbed but none were, though one is if configured properly, and now all versions other than that are subbed with no action needed. Suits my bottom line, but confused.
Thanks all, great movie I am told.

Good movie.
I think Jordan Peele has done a good job with Get Out and Us, but he is screwing up The Twilight Zone.
What are you using to play it?
Do they not have subs encoded?
Failing that, why don't you just download some?

Summer of Rockets (BBC miniseries, 2019).
Cold War drama, gets a 7.7 on IMDB.
Downloading now, all parts here:

^Like watching paint dry.........................
Jeez, The Virtues was rough on the eyes, ...they should have called it: A Week In The Life Of A Brexiteer.
Generally the bigger the file, the more likely it is to contain embedded subs in my experience, especially if it's an MKV and/or a DVD rip.
VLC does have a "Download Subtitles" option, but I don't know what it uses or whether or not it's configurable.
In Kodi, for example, you just specify Subscene or the likes and you can play the file and search/download subs at the click of a button.
The larger of the two files (6.5 gb) has 4 sets of subs to choose from, all work fine.
Got through one hour of the 3 and so far well worth the time.
Just watch the first 4 shows of the hot zone [eztv] about Ebola arriving in the USA, allegedly true story.
Makes you think about how prepared the world is for an outbreak of a killer virus.
Thought it was well worth watching and not finish yet.
Chernobyl is fucking brilliant.
^Yeah, just watched EP02 last night. The evacuation of the town into fleets of State buses was poignant and pretty moving. Excellent stuff.
