Recently watched a recent 4 part offering from the UK's Channel 4, "Chimerica". Fictional story with it's background of the photographer who took the famous photo of the Chinese protester in Tiananmen Square facing off against a tank. Recommended.

You forgot to read this thread where it has already been discussed and linked, too.
While I'm here, I haven't actually watched it yet, but Sneaky Pete fans might be pleased to hear that Season 3 is out on Amazon Prime so I'm guessing torrents will be chasing it like greyhounds.
How was 'Sneaky Pete' season 2? I've had it downloaded for a year but haven't watched it. I liked season 1 (enough to finish it) but didn't love it- did it improve?
Harry, what do you know about that Brazilian series, The Mechanism?...
IMDB 8.8....political drama.
But why google when you can ask a random person on the internet?
In case anyone is interested in learning more background about Chernobyl to enhance the viewing of the HBO series, some nice chap has uploaded a torrent of docos on the subject:

12Gb mind you if you have crap interwebs.
Chernobyl is excellent, and terrifying.
I can't help but notice similarities to this BBC 2006 one-parter though ... starts with the suicide, etc. Guaranteed the "creator" of this show saw that.
But they packed the whole story into a one-episode TV drama.

(It's in that torrent I posted earlier).
I've been watching an anthology series on the Netflixs called 'Love Death + Robots'.
They're all basically animated shorts ranging from 8-20 min and although the quality of stories varies wildly some of them have exceptional animation.
I agree. Even though the new HBO serires is excellent, the first two episodes follow the BBC documentary. The scenes in the control room are virtually the same.

Part 1 of the new Shane Meadows series is up.
'The Virtues'
Looks like it's gonna be pretty grim even by Meadows' standards.
The Professor and the Mad Man.
absolutely brilliant.
Sean Penn is extraordinary
That Aussie bloke Mel does well to.
The wee lassie playing the widow is perfect.
But, for me, the Jailer, the main man is sublime.
Quality cast doing their best, with a great story and a magnificent film. 9/10
