^Certainly not agreeing with Dragon, but I never got into that series. I tried it several times, but after an episode or two, just lost interest.
First season was the weakest. Stick with it, I think its unlikely you would be disappointed
Quite a few series like that.Originally Posted by redhaze

Zehner is that you?

bb really can't be compared to the wire, but was great entertainment.
Thanks Harry. I just finished watching. Overall I wasn't impressed with the 2 hour version and I'm sure I wouldn't have stuck the full series. I even fast forwarded parts of the movie.Originally Posted by harrybarracuda
LMAO, The Wire. Yeah The Wire is a great show. Got it. I think we've all got it.This collective drive to claim it as the end all be all...its kind of a played out a bit though. Some groupthink happening, the idea bounces around, self validating and feeding off of others. Its just not original.Originally Posted by cyrille
Season 5 of the Wire was pretty lackluster. And it was a cop show, albeit a great cop show that showed the other half of the story. But still a cop show. No way am I calling a cop show the high point of television history.
What they have in common is that there are really great performances in both shows. The Wire had a greater ensemble cast, no doubt about that. No show would leave you on the edge of your seat like Breaking Bad though. That show did tension better than any other. And the way that show was filmed, the musical interludes, really good.
Both were classic shows occupying entirely different spaces. Can they be compared? Of course not, they aren't even remotely similar. But to claim that one is inarguably better than the other? Pass
Calling all Dave Chappelle fans. Two new live stand up comedy specials released yesterday.
The Age of Spin and Deep in the Heart of Texas
Both on PB.
Is it new material? Feels like he has been doing the same stuff for a little while
Just binge watching this series and it's really really good. One of the very best crime series in a long time, and it does not rely on high speed chases and people yelling Mothefuker in every sentence. Bitlliantly shot, edited and presented. Real quality stuff.
It can be found on PB but you might have to search around a bit to get all the pieces. Well worth the effort.
You guys would do well to get a Netflix Account and Express VPN
I know.. Off Topic...
Just sayin'
Why?? I manage to find pretty well everything of interest on the big torrent sites, and the downloads are usually very fast. Have never bothered with Netflix.Originally Posted by Slick

Cause you discover a lot of stuff on there with the VPN and different regions.Originally Posted by koman

Its a hell of a difference. I torrent as well but Netflix Quality on a good TV is great
As much as I have to cross my fingers behind my back and grit my teeth to say it, Slick has a point.
I have netflix. I don't ever really use it though. So much great TV, downloading just gives me the ability to watch only what I want. I'm so far behind on great series, I just don't need to randomly flip through a bunch of things to find more.
With x265 files becoming the new standard, the quality difference and needed storage is becoming less of a concern too. I actually purchased a brand new 4k TV primarily because my old one wouldn't play x265 straight from an external HDD.
"Nick's Law". An excellent German police detective show brought to you by uploader Snowhirter. Season 1 is four episodes, each 90 minutes - 1-3 are up now. Waiting on 4.
To access: Go to PB. Search "Braquo" (which is another Sno upload). Click on downloader "snowhirter". That brings up all his uploads. Episodes of this are on page 1.
Pirate Bay appears to be down today. Anyone else experiencing trouble?
If you are in the states and have and have Netflix there is no x265 that will beat the HD Quality available. Do a crosscheck with it. There is also the Ultra HD upgrade available on Netflix for like a buck or 2 more a month. Its mind blowing.Originally Posted by redhaze
