DJ Pat should be shot for having such poor taste in movies, almost as bad as a Thai teenager

Canal+ has a few interesting French series, apparently quite good
Braco, Engrenages
Also quite liked "Les Hommes de L'ombre", but probably too French for non locals
Young Pope, anyone tried that one ? a flashy "metrosexual" pope with controversial methods

^Good luck on finishing...it continues the downhill slide.
I thought you'd given up on it?
Ep9 up today. One left after that.
A new Scandinavian offering from Sweden, "Modus", currently airing on BBC4 on Saturday nights. There are 8 episodes, and appears to be a 'why dunnit' rather than a 'who dunnit'.
First 2 episodes from the reliable 'Sno' here:

Westworld E09 was excellent almost trippy, worth putting up with a few weak episodes for ..
Even Anthony Hopkins played his part well
and Delorus was as lovely as ever .
fell asleep before the end of the episode 6,Originally Posted by harrybarracuda

A 3 part offering from the BBC, "Rillington Place" is a biography-drama about 1940s serial killer Reg (AKA John) Christie begins as a grim two-hander, looking at his gaslighting and intimidation of his wife Ethel, who deduces he is a deviant but can’t find the courage to report or abandon him.
Tim Roth is superb as the calmly brazen manipulator, with Samantha Morton also strong in a difficult role: the stark direction and script leave Ethel’s underlying psychology – which prevents her from saving herself – indistinct.

Watched the first episode....Compelling viewing. The hanging of innocent Timothy Evans, is one which will always haunt the British legal system.
Got about halfway through Anthropoid. It was hard work or maybe I was in the wrong mood.
Anyway got to the assassination scene and the escape on a bicycle and I thought "Wait a minute I've seen this before"
And I have Operation Daybreak (1975). If one enjoyed Anthropoid one might consider watching it for comparison.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all
Those who cannot change their mind, cannot change anything.
^ I would have thought the assassination of Heydrich should have received attention long ago.
Episode 3 of the Grand Tour available on PB.
A good show. IMO the best yet.
I watched 'High Rise' this afternoon.
Adapted from the novel by JG Ballard.
All well done, but a rather predictable Ballard dystopia.
Quality acting from the likes of Irons and Hiddleston though.
7/10
