It swam quite nicely until the end, then it got fucking daft.

Bosch was really good, spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon watching it.

I can't say I found E01 good. I thought the acting poor and I took an instant dislike to 'Bosch'. Why do Americans accept being called by their surnames? Or is that just in the movies?

^I think you will often find the use of surnames in the military or police, where people are often called by their rank and surname, which gets abbreviated to surname only by those who know them.

I don't think you are meant to like Bosch - he's not meant to be a fuzzy guy.

I think you cut it too short - try another episode or two - I think you'll get hooked.

Trying to watch it too, haven't got very far.

Too much irritating emphasis on his name Bosch, Bosch, Bosch, laid on far too thick; while noone elses name seems to get used much.

I'm a fan of the Connelly novels, but saw the pilot for 'Bosch' a while back and found it a bit flat, somehow.

Maybe I'll give it more time.

Just watched 'Beware of Mr. Baker', a documentary about Ginger Baker, who was one of the best drummers the world has ever seen, and was also a world-class asshole. Very entertaining for music fans, with interviews of some other rock legends thrown in.

Just finished the previously recommended Gomorrah Italian mafia series.

What a great show.

Keeps the tension going right to the last scene of 12 episodes.

"Mr. Brooks". A quirky serial killer murder/mystery. Kevin Costner, William Hurt, Demi Moore. Never seen it before. OK for a Sunday afternoon. 7/10.

It grew on me and I quite liked the guy and the other quirky characters by the end.
You missed the bit where the cute French bird offered him a sympathy fuck near the end.
I do prefer quirky to conventional sometimes.
