"The Cruel Sea". 1953/B&W. Interesting look at the horror of being in the British Merchant Marine during the early years of WW2. Excellent footage. Good movie for those who are WW2 buffs. I reckon there may be a few posters around who had relatives in the Merchant Marine. Terrible survival rates delivering the goods to keep the war going.

My Grandad (Mum's Dad) was in the merchant navy during the war. My Dad's father was in the royal navy. Both on the atlantic convoys.

Well, after a fantastic 1st episode, the 2nd left me absolutely cold...bored to tears.

On to the 3rd.......

3rd one in Season 1 left me cold as well.

Went on to Season 2. Episode 1 brought it back! Creepy, but great.

So, so far, episode 1 of both seasons gets a 10/10. Well, maybe a 9/10 for the second season episode 1.....

Moving on to episode 2 later tonight.

Be interesting to hear what others thought, as I am a non-tech old guy who really never does sci-fi kind of stuff.

I've just finished season 1.

Of course the first one was brilliant.

The second and third were still good in my opinion. Quite clever actually. The sort of weird shit I could only come up with if I was having some weird dreams and managed to talk all about it as soon as I woke up before forgetting wtf I was just dreaming about. If you catch my drift.
