Someone mentioned about Definance. Yea, hardly worth watching if you have seen episode 1 and 2, [the pilot]

Its just going to be another story like Terra forma, which too, got cancelled after the series ended.

Longmire is back for a 2nd series.

And teen wolf is back for a 3rd series, thats if, you like this shit, which i got bored of mid way through series 1.

I watched the first season , but overall I don't think it was worth it - the plots are a bit over the top and then you have to put up with the "sexual frission" written into the plots to satisfy the women and nancy boy new age guys

I am downloading the episodes of Sherlock to see how it stands up

^I quite liked that aspect of it. The story arcs seemed to get a bit better as it went on.

This afternoon I'm having a Matrix Bluray marathon. I'd forgotten how good they were, would be awesome in 3D.

The Mimic is only vaguely entertaining for his uncanny ability to mimic a handful of celebs. No story worth shit; I wouldn't bother.

Leverage is like a slightly more sophisticated "A Team". A group of villains turn good guys to outwit the baddies.

It's popcorn stuff, worth a laugh as you work out their grifts. Try a season and see what you think.

    Don't know the others.

Brilliant (the UK one - the US one was shit obviously). The follow up series (Ashes to Ashes) was good too.

the first one was awesome, at the time

the next 2 were pile of shit for basement boys, full of special effects and tangents stories losing the plot and make the whole series an enormous pile of shit

the first one was refreshing, and I recommend you end it there, the other 2 completely destroy the spirit of the first one

Nah I did a Matrix Sunday a couple of months ago when the TV downloads were slow like they are now.

Agreed the first one had a groundbreaking idea for a story line and was by far the best, but there are a lot worse films you can watch on a sunday afternoon.

Or better still, to put it in the words of the writers/directors:

What we were trying to achieve with the story overall was a shift, the same kind of shift that happens for Neo, that Neo goes from being in this sort of cocooned and programmed world, to having to participate in the construction of meaning to his life. And we were like, 'Well, can the audience go through the three movies and experience something similar to what the main character experiences?'
So the first movie is sort of classical in its approach. The second movie is deconstructionist, and it assaults all of the things that you thought to be true in the first movie, and so people get very upset, and they're like 'Stop attacking me!' in the same way that people get upset with deconstructionist philosophy. I mean, Derrida and Foucault, these people upset us. And then the third movie is the most ambiguous, because it asks you to actually participate in the construction of meaning.

So parts two and three of the trilogy are not quite the Hollywood popcorn movie that keep the great unwashed entertained.

As individual films, the first obviously has the most satisfying story arc, so anyone watching the other two out of context are going to get very confused.

Not just that but I think the first one entered a whole new idea into our brains that couldn't truthfully be answered and that's probably the first film to do it since Star Wars.

I quite liked Inception for the same reason. But isn't that what some movies are supposed to do? Make you think?

^ I have not watched any of it - and I do not intend to start now

I read his book - tuf ferguson - which seemed like it was written for teenaged boys , and that has not inclined me to want to subject myself to any of his other works

Game of Thrones is an epic series in my opinion. But then again the boy never left me. Some are just too old for their own good!
