Yeah- with most shows I can usually see the plot twists coming- 'Homeland' keeps surprising me.
I didn't like 'Life' much either- he's much better in 'Homeland'- the peripheral characters are good as well- I didn't like Claire Danes much at first but she's played her character without any vanity (which I didn't expect)- I usually dislike Mandy Patinkin but he's done an excellent job- it's really a first-rate show.
I was surprised with her too. She's been excellent. The whole series has impressed me, it's surely going to win awards. Hearing that it's been given a second season has got me thinking though. The first has been based on an Israeli book about a soldier who is in the same situation as Brody, so I'm assuming this story arc will conclude in the next episode. Wonder what they'll do with series 2.
Yeah, I wondered that as well- they probably figured on a single season (like with 'The Walking Dead') but the popularity and acclaim must have caused a flurry of brain-storming in the writer's room to expand the story further.
Yeah that's what I reckon too. They have the characters in the CIA team now, so it'll probably be a case of Danes' character being out in the cold for a bit until some new threat emerges. There's no reason why it can't be good as it's character driven, and it's an adaptation of a book that's already been changed a lot location wise, politically etc...
It'll be interesting to see what they do with it. Some great TV coming out of America at present.
I've downloaded Homeland week by week from the beginning, yet to see one but good to hear it's gone down well.
^how did you get on with Arrested Development?
I downloaded all of AD to date, not started yet, been watching Underbelly Razor, Life's Too Short and Boardwalk Empire lately. Got hundreds of hours of stuff to watch.
There's way too much to keep up to date with everything.
I wouldn't bother. Luckily, I only DL'd the first season, so didn't waste too much disc space.Quote:
