    'Penguin' seems good after S01E01.

A bit of a surprise to me, as the mcu stuff doesn't interest me at all.

A compelling performance by Colin Farrell is the difference, I think.

Been looking forward to this. I'm gonna have to wait to binge it though.

"From", that strange scifi show where everyone gets stuck in a small town and has to hide at night, has 10 eps of season two up.

Correction: It's been that long, it's S03 and it's drip feed: one episode up.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (Netflix, TV)

9 parter about the two brothers who were jailed for killing their parents for the inheritance. I don't know how much it sticks to the actual story, but they did apparently come across as a pair of sociopaths. They tried to claim they killed their parents in self defence because their father was afraid that they were going to reveal he sexually abused them. After a couple of false starts, they were convicted after the judge threw out most of the sex abuse claims as heresay.

Turns out that last year, a boy band member claimed he was drugged and raped by the father, so there may be more to the story coming.

    Quite well made.

They did an S01 about Jeffrey Dahmer which I might watch next.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

    ^ Agree.

The Instigators with Matt Damon and Casey Affleck is better.

For fans of the "death in Paradise" series, there is a new BBC/Australian version of the show called 'return to Paradise". Set in Australia, with the same formula...fish out of water detective with amazing intuition solving murder cases with a big reveal at the end. But don't bother, it's not worth watching (IMHO).

    Everyone must see The Substance.

Demi Moore pays an aging actress who starts a black market treatment for aging with some totally whacked-out results. Horror. Gory. Laugh out loud insane.

You might hate it, you might love it as I did, but you MUST see it!

A Confession...on Netflix. Really good and based on a real murder investigation. Martin Freeman, Siobhan Finneran and other great actors in it including Charlie Cooper and John Thompson.

    Compulsive viewing.

Yes a caper with a good cast, won't need to rewatch 7/10

What did you make of the ending?

    I was a bit underwhelmed.

Not wishing to spoil it for anyone:

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, they're following the books and Season 5 is already in post-production...

    Fair enough.

This whole season just seemed a bit muddled.

About halfway through the first season of Resident Alien on Netflix. An alien in the midst of humans and I didn't think I would like it but have found it to be quite entertaining while not requiring a lot of brain cells to enjoy. It makes me reminiscent of shows like My Favorite Martian and Third Rock From The Sun. Some pretty funny scenes and good surprises.

^ Not on Netflix in Thailand. The other one you suggested I wanted to see wasn’t on there either. Will have to watch another way.

Binged on Slow Horses S 4 yesterday evening. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Ending suited me just fine.
