^ It was indoor climbing, to be fair.
The crowd didn't seem too excited, to be honest. As the winner, had the choice of a fleece or something I forget, and chose the fleece, 1 or 2 years later probably tried to distill it into whiskey, E's or coke.
Eddie Snr on, I recognize Mirror Wall in the Burren.
Ain't got a 44 where this is.
Good hobby. Though the pics don't look too impressive now after watching Nutter-Boy free climb El Capo.
I think there's a shortage of good TV at the moment - the knock on effect of the writers and actors strikes?
Detained (Movie, 2024)
Top notch, twisty thriller.
I should add there's a couple of nods to The Usual Suspects in there.
Lady in the Lake (Apple TV, 2024)
60's period thriller. Got a good review so I watched Ep. 1. Not bad, 7/10ish
Lady in the Lake review – Natalie Portman’s TV debut is absolutely impeccable | Television | The Guardian
Twisters, which was only in the flicker pictures last week, is now available on Onstream et al.
CGI-laden sequel/remake to Twister.
The new Deadpool was decent enough I guess but probably better viewed on your sofa.
The Fall Guy was good.
They spunked a massive budget on stunts, which was the subject of the movie.
Ryan Gosling plays a stunt double and had 8 stunt doubles for the movie.
It’s a no brainer, and quite interesting to see how stunts are done etc. some great outtakes at the end.
Im giving that a 8.9/10
Lang may yer lum reek...
The Netflix series 'Sprint' is even better now that the Olympics is over and I can Google how they did.
Got momentarily excited about a Day of the Jackal preview on Sky but it's not out until November 7th.
Meh.

Slow Horses Season 4 drops on September 4th.
I expect you can't find a torrent for "The Moaners: The Battle for 8th"
Went to see Alien:Romulus at the flicker pictures the other day.
Scott appears to have abandoned all the silly sequel/prequel/whateverquel nonsense and gone back to the Alien/Alien II days.
I enjoyed it on the big screen.
Going to Deadpool on Monday.
I watched jackpot last night - it was a mindless action flick with not really a plot - slightly humorous - 5 out of 10
A bit like this then:
^ I tried to watch The Union last night. I tried really hard and even overlooked Halle Berry’s ugly haircut. Turned it off half way though.
A dud.
Went to see Deadpool and Wolverine at the flicker pictures.
An absolute hoot.
The in jokes fly so thick and fast I'm sure I missed a few.
It gets better.
The Old Man Season 2 (Jeff Bridges) is back on September 12th with two episodes, then six more over the following weeks.
Longlegs (Movie, 2024)
Cost less than ten million, made 100m at the box office.
You have to watch this for Nic Cage.
Fucking hell.
