^ditto ! Binge watched the first season in one night until 2am, couldn’t turn it off. Second season over two nights because I had to keep track of all the plot convolutions...bluffing, double bluffing and double crossing.
Can’t believe that I never heard of it before.

    The Surge

    On Netflix

Pretty intense roller coaster of a day for an airport worker who has a total breakdown and goes on a shagging and bank robbing spree.

Didn't really expect to enjoy it but Amsterdam (2022) grows into an enjoyable period crime sort of drama/comedy thing.
Some surprising faces pop up in cameos, too.

First half was a little slow. Second half made up for it.

after 30 minutes I had a breakdown and turned it off - what a boring piece of sh1t that was - maybe it gets better , maybe you should start at 30 minutes in

The Peripheral - is there enough good stuff to compensate for the long, boring bits?

Shantaram, I'm really enjoying this. An Aussie escapes from prison in Australia and manages to get to India where he tries to re-establish himself but finds himself moving in familiar criminal murky waters

^ Read the book quite a few years ago.

Interesting read, but you had to filter the facts through fiction.

    I enjoyed the book too.

Until the ending, which seemed a bit too focused on making him look good.

Wil give it a try tonight . . . thanks. Charlie Hunnam is certainly creating a very big career in the film industry - good on him

Westworld has been put out of its misery.

I'm surprised it lasted this long.

I don't think I'll get through the first episode.

That accent is painful to listen to. Veers between Aussie and Geordie and God knows what else.

I watched 2 episodes overnight- enjoying it. I reckon if you enjoyed The Serpent, you should get along with this one. But don't treat it as factual- the author/ screenwriter was a career criminal and scumbag junkie.

Been looking for this for a long time; finally a version with English subs.

Not bad reviews, at least from scifi buffs, although I haven't watched it yet.
