Finished watching Squid Game, which is an entertaining little series, and Netflix threw me into something called Oats Studios, of which I've never heard.

It's a series of short Sci-Fi movies that District 9 writer and director Neill Blomkamp had on Youtube. Never heard of them.

But Sigourney Weaver and Dakota Fanning chipped in on a couple, and they're a quick and quirky bit of entertainment with some whizz CGI.

The Cooking with Bill ones.... fuck.

And I forgot to mention that I remembered missing a few of Prime Suspect, the police procedural with Helen Mirren in the lead, and some kind soul has put it all on TPB.

Started rewatching it at the weekend. Excellent stuff.

The many saints of Newark didn't do it for me, despite loving The Sopranos.

I almost always like Billy Bob, but season 4 of "Goliath" was just weird - tried way too hard.

Haven't seen it yet, but I thought the hallucinogenic plotline in S03 was distracting enough. Anyway, it's the last season so no harm watching it really.

Fucking brilliant is all I can say.
I really want to watch it in a cinema but in BKK there's no food or drink allowed inside.

Have you thought about eating before you go in? Quite often they have dozens of restaurants in walking distance of the cinema for this exact purpose. Perhaps it's a new thing you haven't heard about.

Yeah, have a meal before you go in coz it's a 3 hour marathon roller coaster.
Apparently there's an app that informs you of the quieter times to take a toilet break so you dont miss the important scenes.

It's a cinema, you're meant to snack and drink your way through a movie on a big comfy seat. That's why it's enjoyable. If I can't eat or drink and have to wear a mask the whole time it becomes increasingly less fun.

And yeah, I'll have a big meal before going to sit in the dark for 3 hours. I might as well go to bed.
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

They should put the trailers in the middle of the movie.

When I were a lad, they used to have a break half way and sell ice-cream.

Did they have a bloke playing the piano while you read the words as well?

Agreed, just immerse oneself in the movie and enjoy.

I remember watching the uncut version of Apocalypse Now 20 odd years ago in the cinema for 3 hours without a break, was brilliant.

"Ridley Road". A new 4 part series from the BBC. Based on real life events in early 1960's East End London, where Jewish residents and Fascists clash. Very good cast, with quite a few recognisables.

It was a vintage cinema house... way behind the times...

Nice one, will need to check if I still have season 2 to watch as it's been a while.

That was definitely a cinema movie.

    Masterful direction.
