Finished 'Wandavision'.
It's very cleverly done and really quite good.
Skyrojo (Netflix, TV, Spanish)
Some hookers in a brothel kill their boss and go on the lam.
Dark and mildly amusing.
6/10
Due to several recommendations, I had Seaspiracy planned for this evening in my quarters. However, I looked it up on IMDB first and then I was averted to Cowspiracy, which seems to be more about how cow farts are causing climate change. Maybe I'll watch Seaspiracy tomorrow evening.
Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret (2014) - IMDb
Seaspiracy (2021) - IMDb
Lang may yer lum reek...
'Justice League: The Synder Cut'
Very long (4hrs) but worth it I reckon.
The bastard of it being now knowing what the vision was supposed to be, what we could've got, and reconciling that with the Joss Whedon hatchet job we did get which ended the DCEU
Any chance of a clue regarding wtf you're talking about?
Edit: Oh...Marvel stuff. Thought it might be something to do with NZ rugby.
^ wearing your underpants on the outside will not make you cool
I tried and it didn't work and my y fronts were ridiculed
Oldie Goldie. Just watched the always great Donald Sutherland in "Eye Of The Needle". WW2 spy thriller. Excellent.
You can do a lot worse than watch a Donald Sutherland season, for sure.
Cowspiracy. It did cover cow farts but it wasn't the main gripe about the cows. We learned the facts at the start which were quite interesting and a bit gobsmacking, and the rest was about getting the point across.
I could tell you all about it in a couple of paragraphs and save you the bother tbh.
Some of the reactions from the charities are pretty good though. Greenpeace for example refused an interview, as they cant cash in on slaughtering cows to save the Amazon.
On reflection, it's worth a watch.
Godzilla vs Kong.
Family fun.
Just a moment...
Chaos Walking (2021)
A bunch of blokes live on a "settler" planet and they can "hear" each others thoughts. Then a woman arrives and they can't hear hers.
Much mayhem ensues.
Passable 6/10.
Weird backstory to that one, was made years ago and not released.
“The Serpent” on Netflix is good. About that serial killer Charles Sobhraj from the 70’s in Bangkok. Done pretty well with the time period stuff and actual thai language speakers.
"Men Of Honor". (IMDB 7.2 (2000). De Niro and Cuba Gooding. Tale of the first black US Navy diver, and the man who trained him. Excellent movie.
This should be good...
Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson Cast in New Scorsese Movie Killers of the Flower Moon | PitchforkKillers of the Flower Moon is the next film from director Martin Scorsese. Based on the 2017 non-fiction book of the same name, the cast of the upcoming thriller has been slowly coming together. Robert DeNiro, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jesse Plemons have been signed on to star in the Apple Original film, among others. Today, two names from the music world are joining the cast: Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson will play the roles of Bill Smith and Henry Grammar respectively, as Deadline reports. Also joining the cast are First Nations actor William Belleau and Louis Cancelmi.
What about fish farts?
It’s only a bubble...
Just curious, how many of you guys have seen Cape Fear (1991) is the one with Robert De Niro, Well the one in 1962 with Robert Mitchum is even more of a suspense genre because of the ratings back then, sadly is only in black and white that i could find. both movies are worth the time for those that enjoy intrigue and ruthlessness in movies.
^Interesting. Never knew the earlier version existed. Should be a good watch, as the DeNiro remake was quite disturbing as I recall. Thanks.
