Dear gawd that's a bleak and depressing series! Very good though and that Moss woman is superb. I might actually give the books a crack (there's a sequel also).
After Mr Robot it should be a refreshing change then

it's a superb series, going for Season 3 myself

    The Accident (TV, 2019)

A sleepy Welsh village is having it's annual fun run when there is "an accident".

    Much skullduggery ensues.

If nothing else it will make you glad you don't live in Wales.

"Official Secrets". True story of the GCHQ whistleblower that leaked the memo from the NSA about blackmailing countries into voting for the phony war in Iraq, back in 2003.
Decent film, well acted. Starring the lovely Keira Knightely.

just dled the Hornblower and Sharpe series, hope to get into one of them over the next week.

There was a problem with vlc playing both of these in unwatchable black/white, but nerd friend made good by suggesting reset preferences and reload.

    ^ cheers.

Think that's the first 2 seasons (really more like one as they're both 4 episodes long), called Top Boy Summer House after the housing estate they're running.

She's wearing more clothes these days. Not enough car chases and a marked lack of logo bearing coffee cups.

    Excellent ending.

definitely give that an 8; trying not to spoil, I was under the impression the UK had a long, expensive and properly scrutinised deportation process.

I'm sure, officially, there is a process. Some processes can sometimes be lengthy, others can be expedited in an afternoon, as and when "required". As the main actress found out after a visit to her government representative.

There is an Oz guy currently being, allegedly legally, detained "At Her Majesties Pleasure". Similar no doubt to a TIO's lawful "leeway".

Watched this last night. Weird one for sure, Joachim Phoenix is superb even if the film isn't. Starts getting nuts when the Gary Glitter song starts.. Whoa!

    A Confession

Martin Freeman is a copper and, as always, all round nice guy investigating a murder.

This is based on a true story, and arguably the way it sticks to the truth harms its dramatic arc.

It's well done all round though and Freeman is excellent, as is the ever reliable Imelda Staunton as the mother of one of the victims.
