All the ones on eztv.io play OK in VLC so I assume on Android.

Maybe the ones you downloaded were in H.265 and you have an old device?

Year of the Rabbit - doco bout policing in cockney London last century. Confronting and true to life.

    "One thing doesn't add up"
    "What"
"You, you leg of fuckwit ham"

"Rabbit I've wiped your arse for long enough - but no matter how many times I wipe, you can't keep a clean crack."

The junior plod who gets a boner when viewing the dead girl in the morgue - "Good Lord I can see her mcfuffies...we've revealed her lady-pantry"

    The Fanatic (2019)

    Movie/tv download recommendations-screen-shot-2019-08-29-3-a

Take a famous drummer who thinks he can be a director and who co-wrote a truly imbecilic script; and an actor who doesn't appear to realise that his career is over; and you end up with a car crash of a movie that took the princely sum of $3,153 on 52 screens on its opening night.

Yes, Fred Durst and John Travolta may just be the worst writer/director/actor combo in history.

I'll give it 2/10 because there is a certain morbid fascination in watching Travolta sinking into a mire so deep. You can forgive Durst because it was probably his vanity project and he probably pumped a load of cash into it.

I think the only thing that's going to save Travolta and Nic Cage is if they make Face/Off II. They might as well try it, fuck all else is working.

Oh and the movie: Weird, obsessed action star fan goes too far.

‘Everybody in the Place, An Incomplete History of Britain 1984-1992’

A great documntary by a bloke called Jeremy Deller who basically gives a 1 hour Powerpoint presentation to a group of year 12/13 kids in London about the social and political ramificatons of the rave scene sub-culture.

    Can watch straight off Youtube.

Bogon rating of a solid 8.75%

    Rome
series made in 2005-7 - it got 8.7 on imdb. DLed it ages ago but never watched.
its about rome during the roman times - julius, octavius, oblivius, maximus naughtius vetc - but its pretty good - lots of fighting, backstabbing, titties and who's up who and who's paying the rent etc.

    Quote from IMDB
Gaius Julius Caesar: I didn't know he existed until he didn't.

[to Octavius] Atia of the Julii: You fucked your sister! You little pervert!

Atia of the Julii: [concerning Servilia's invitation] Why would she want to see me? She hates me!
Mark Antony: So do I; that's no bar to friendship.

A struggling musician wakes up in an alternative reality where The Beatles never existed, so decides to pass the songs off as his own.

Danny Boyle directs, Richard Curtis writes, the cast do a decent job and it's a great movie.

    Anna (2019)

A typical Luc Besson action/thriller with a whiff of Nikita about it.

Worth a watch. There is a bit of Russian in it early on and I couldn't find any subs for that bit, but I don't think it's crucial to the plot and you can work out what's happening without too much trouble. Helen Mirren plays a great part, didn't recognise her at first.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but a new 7 part series "The Loudest Voice" has just been released. Based on the book of the same name, and a bio of Roger Ailes of Fox News fame. Stars Russell Crowe (almost unrecognisable in bald and fat form) and Sienna Miller.

    Trailer here:

    and all 7 episodes here:

Yeah, Harry's link doesn't work, but went to the site independently and got a 4Gb 1080p version. Looks interesting, cheers.

I've downloaded, watched 15 minutes of and binned quite a lot of stuff lately.

    A couple of survivors though:

    Ash Is Purest White
    Dir: Zhangke Jia

Fairly typical gangster tropes, but the setting of developing semi-rural China is interesting. 7/10

    Brassic

Previously mentioned. Black UK Comedy Series. I'm warming to it after a disappointingly derivative first episode. 6/10

Just watched E01 of 'The Spy', a six part series starring Sasha Baron Cohen as an Israel agent.

    Pretty good, I thought.

I gave up after about 50 mins. Would have been OK if I was 14 but I am not. But thanks for the heads up.
