There is a tv series called "Happy" it's about a guy and his imaginary blue unicorn.

if you are not offended easily, download and watch it.

    series 2 is nearly done.

Watched the first one yesterday. What an excellent actor Stephen Graham is, definitely recommended. Even the most unsentimental of us would be hard pressed not to find it heart wrenching in parts.

    Intense first episode.

Watching the effects of the leaking radiation with destruction of faces and hands was pretty raw.

    Blisteringly good stuff.

The strange world of soviet politics and cripplingly ineffective crisis management felt authentic.

TV is showing a series from a few years ago - called CRITICAL:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_(TV_series)

Worth a watch I would have said - the operating theatre scenes are unlike any I have ever seen. If you have a weak stomach, maybe give it a miss.

Soviet politics were ahead of their time, like everything in the SU

watch how we are only catching up now

the TEPCO nuclear disaster was far worse than Chernobyl and had the exact same political reaction from a for-profit corporations and their attached government

    Apollo 11

Ball-achingly awesome documentary about the magnificent Apollo 11 mission.

Gorgeous footage which it is hard to believe is not familiar. How can such amazing footage not be familiar?

They seem to have taken original footage and enhanced it with sharpening etc so it looks like it was filmed yesterday.

Tiny subtitles update with thousands of awesomely geektastic facts as the docu rolls. Little animations explain the complex balletic manoeuvres of the various modules.

What a perfect and fitting tribute just 2 months out from the 50the anniversary. This is everything that the Ryan Gosling movie should have been.

I wear my Apollo 15 anniversary fake Omega Speedmaster with pride tonight.

This will be getting several more viewings once I resurrect my cinema projector.

Here is my own tribute. A sneak preview of the nearly full moon rising over aussieland this evening.

    Movie/tv download recommendations-img_7645-jpg

I have also bared my girthy 6 incher in all its glory under the full moon tonight after it has been garaged for nearly 2 years in order to get a nice look at Jupter's moons which you can see rising in the eastern sky 2 hours after sunset.

American Experience: The Circus (2018) on Netflix...

"This mini-series tells the story of one of the most popular and influential forms of entertainment in American history. Through the intertwined stories of several of the most innovative and influential impresarios of the late nineteenth century, this series reveals the circus was a uniquely American entertainment created by a rapidly expanding and industrializing nation; that it embraced and was made possible by Western imperialism; that its history was shaped by a tension between its unconventional entertainments and prevailing standards of respectability."

Just started watching it (about an hour), but it is very good...

If it's been mentioned before, you know what you can do...

Just started watching "Line Of Duty". UK Police drama. It's been out a long time, but I've only just got around to watching it this month. Superb writing, plots, and acting all round.
Just finished up to SE04, and hooked now. Excellent series.

"Hatton Garden". An ITV production of the 2015 jewel heist in London, spread over 4 episodes running 4 consecutive nights (first 2 available now). Features Timothy Spall, almost unrecognisable as he's lost a tremendous amount of weight.
