Well it was believable, but rather uneventful.

    That actually reminds me...

'The Toys That Made Us' - an eight part doco on Netflix charting the rise and fall of some of the worlds most popular toys (Star Wars, He-Man, Lego, GI Joe etc.) and the fortunes of the companies and people behind them.

Quite a fascinating watch. I skipped the Barbie and Hello Kitty episodes though.

Put that on, to see there are no subtitles no matter how many times I hit the keyboard while holding the Ctrl key, and they're all speaking some Norwejeegobbledegook.

Get Shorty (2017) loosely based upon Elmore Leanord’s book. A tv series starring Chris O’Dowd and Ray Romano not the awful John Travolta movie.

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5761496/

Just binged watched all series 1. Ray Romano plays the seedy producer and Chris O’Dowd the gangster trying to break in to pictures. Compulsive viewing.

    Series 2 starts in August.

Anyone seen this yet? Think it's just been released. Thai prison-based shenanigans.

    Yep.

General verdict: convincing but lacked an arc to drag you in.

    Worth watching imo.

His character didn't allow anyone in, not even briefly.

    Spoiler alert

Definitely worth a watch if you wanna see real Thai jail conditions close up.

Our hero doesn't smile until 80mins in, and the first bout comes after 66mins. We know nothing of his background in Bangkok or at home, but at least it's not been glossed over Hollywood style.

All the Thai 'small talk'' between inmates isn't subbed, but shouldn't be a dilemma for anyone who's spent time in LOS. The important dialogues are all subbed so don't fret.

Overall, you shouldn't be disappointed. Billy Moore himself appears briefly too.

    Exactly.

In this well-worn genre the avoidance of cliche counts for something.
