Actually that reminds me (again) in a roundabout way that I'd decided to re-watch 'Life on Mars'.
Something someone posted the other day reminded me but I'd forgotten.
Great show that (both seasons).

Isn't Brit pop the likes of Blur and Oasis?
Frampton was a Brit and made pop music...why isn't that Brit pop?
^ is that Cold Pizza?
Britpop was coined in the early 90s for the likes of Oasis, Pulp, Manic Street Preachers, Blur et al
Whereas Brit pop could be any old British pop music
I agree with that, fucking rubbish, but Frampton?

FFS, is this the shitty music thread? Did I take a wrong turn?
Back on topic.
Still think Star Trek Discovery is shit.
Looks like some good new ones to line up.
About to start:
Profugos.
Then Mr. Robot S02.
Then Mr. Mercedes.
Then Mindhunter.
Then back to finish that Vietnam one.
Dunkirk DVD release and hopefully Peaky Blinders S04 should be by the time I finish that lot.
Thank you very much to Sir Knowlton, Sir Gazza, and all the other knights of the teak table.
^I just started EP2 of Mindhunter and it's picking up a bit after a very slow EP1. The young FBI guy is totally bland and lacking in personality but, having known a number of FBI guys over my working life, that pretty much is spot on. Hope it keeps improving..............
Good news I think... as long as they don't piss it all away trying to make blockbusters.
Quote:
Netflix will invest nearly $8 billion into original content over the next year as it tries to build the world's biggest video subscription service.
The company is sinking deeper into debt in its relentless pursuit of more viewers, leaving Netflix with little margin for error.
But the big burden that Netflix is shouldering hasn't been a major concern on Wall Street so far, as CEO Reed Hastings' strategy has been paying off.
The billions of dollars that Netflix has borrowed to pay for exclusive series such as House of Cards, Stranger Things, and The Crown has helped its service more than triple its global audience during the past four years - leaving it with 109 million subscribers worldwide through September.
If it continues as it is, should be good. Just watched ep1 & 2 and it's brewing up slowly. And it helps that Gleeson hasn't adopted an American accent for the role. He's better at being Irish.
Funniest moment in ep1: (if you've seen it you'll know!!)

Started s2 of 'Preacher' last night and they've introduced The Saint of Killers character. Awesome.
You can tell that the producers/directors are huge fans of the graphic novel.
^^Ann Cusack looks so old in Mr. Mercedes, I didn’t recognize her. They must have had her made up to look older than Mary-Louise Parker because they are about the same age in real life.
(Maybe only women notice these things.)
Finished the series last night. Was a good one.
Now on to Mindhunter.
^Oops. No wonder I didn’t recognize her. That isn’t Ann Cusack.
