I'm not talking about resuming what you're playing, that's a feature in things like Exodus.

I mean remembering what episodes you're on, etc.

Like with Keepers, I watched it in stints of a couple of hours.

Netflix will automatically keep it on the front page and automatically resume at the right place in the right episode.

I have a technique so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel...

If I am only watching one show I just remember which episode I watched last.

If I am watching more than one show I put all the episodes of each show in a respective sub-folder called 'not-watched' and then move them up that show's parent folder one at a time when I start to watch them.

If I stop watching an episode halfway through I append the file name with the minutes and seconds as VLC resume feature is not very reliable I find.

^ I would never have imagined that anyone could take watching TV that seriously.

I usually just use the play then fast forward button to see if the images on the screen fire neurons in the short or long term memory recesses.

Its a wild system to be sure

one more detail...

if the show has srt subs then renaming the files is not good so I keep a text file in the folder and edit the name of the file with the minutes and seconds of the unfinished episode

That is indeed not a very good system

Its quite foolproof. And usually I remember offhand which episode I watched last anyway, or about where I left off on an episode. I'd venture to say mine accounts for less time waste than yours. No offense intended, your system is clearly more precise and accurate, but its flaw is perhaps that it forces you to spend time on things you could have just made a mental note of.

Quite easy to use and reminds you what you've watched.

I download all my shows, and when I've watched a show I put a coupls of dollar signs at the end of the description before the file type, easy, simple, works!

It is. I was gonna post it earlier but wasn't sure if the crowd here would like it.

Starts out kinda gay, but gets good. I actually binge watched it on Netflix then continued offshore. Kinda new-age but good.

If you're looking through Netflix & can't find anything, hit it up. I thought it was way better than that Suicide Tape one (forget the name)
