Excellent series. Great finale.
Finally watched the three seasons of Banshee- interesting plot and lots of gratuitous sex and violence, and I'm looking forward to season 4- it's worthwhile entertainment in a 'shut your brain off and enjoy it' sense. After putting it off for years, I started Game of Thrones- seven episodes into the first season and I'm sorry I waited so long- it's a fantastic show.
Two things I've never watched. Game of Thrones and The Sopranos.
Not that I miss them.
Every Winter i sort of think about starting to watch Breaking Bad, but just seem to forget.
Banshee - I am up to episode 3 of Season 2. I do like it, but in small doses.
Sad that most of the American series have stopped for Summer. Probably a good time to get my laptop serviced, it seems to be heating up and making a funny noise!!
Not into those costume drama/fantasy/hysterical series, and I've just never got round to The Sopranos.

Game of Thrones, the TV series, is very complicated but only a fraction as complicated as the books. The TV series is an improvement over the books in that the dead ends and many of the pointless characters and story lines have been abandoned or simplified. It's a good series but, like the books, there is no resolution to many of the story's sub-plots. It's building toward something but who knows what, the books haven't revealed the conclusion. Just on the basis of acting and art direction it's worth a watch.

Reviewing a TV show or movie and giving away key plot points are two different things, and with the current state of digital media availability, age doesn't mean as much as it used to as far as watching something is concerned.;)
I stand by my 'decapitation' comment.:)

You're now the first person I've ever put on ignore, you fucking prick.
Giving away the plot (telling what happens in specific episodes) is being a fucking prick. Knowing what happens in advance detracts from the enjoyment of the series- yes, it's obvious that characters will be killed off eventually, but would you rather watch as the plot unfolds or be informed beforehand of what happens by some dickhead who thinks he's funny, especially after you've said you just started the show and didn't want any spoilers?
In any case, I'm out of this thread until I'm caught up with the most current episode.
