got it from demonoid.
no problems with it at all so long as you watch it in the vlc player.
doesn't work otherwise.

Cinema Paradiso was also recd, but that was in Italian and accordingly binned, and Scarface is always worth having but not in Spanish!
Can't think of too many series that could rival TPB and The Wire, but what's next?
^entourage, carnivale and heroes?
They're on the way, thanks.
I loved season 1 of that, but season 2 went a bit silly...Quote:

might have to give it a try, those HBO specials are always great
Anyone seen the Tudors?
Comes highly recommended.
Here's a torrent link for a good VCD copy of the Korean monster flick The Host:
The Host (2006) PosTX {KOREAN with ENGLISH SUBS} DVDRiP KvCD Hockney(TUS Release) : Movies > KVCD - Mininova
One of the few shows I liked on UBC was "The deadliest catch"
I saw series 1 and 2 before getting rid of the piece of shit satellite system.
I am in the process of watching series 3 downloaded from EZTV
Great docudrama.
Those guys deserve the massive financial rewards of their job.
Update: Everything below already downloaded, only TPB and The Wire viewed and mucho thanks for those. Now watching The Shield S01, great stuff, with Heroes, Deadwood, Carnivale, Prison Break, Black Adder and Entourage in the traps.
Just started dling The Deadliest Catch but that'll be over in a few days and then will be all dressed up but nowhere to go, so what's next?
This thread should get a brilliant for the lifeless award.
I'm jealous that you're just starting the Shield. Awesome show. Best on tv nowadays.
^
very good, but not as good as the wire I don't think.
I am a few episodes into Heroes.
Not sure what to make of it yet, but after putting myself through the torture of series 6 of 24, it is a step in the right direction.
Yeah don't bother with series 6 of 24 - same shit but different day. They really need to kill most of the cast off and start fresh like they did with season 5. Both The Wire and The Shield only have 1 season left, although I've no clue when they air.
Eyes glued to the screen for Wire 1, felt let down a bit in wire 2 but caught up after about 3 episodes, wire 3 was lost on me and still can't recall what it was about, and felt someone was doing some squeezing in wire 4, possibly because it's all relative and wire 1 was a such a killer.
Shield 1 had me sit mrs at her computer with strict instructions to be quiet for the next day, now halfway through shield 2, not as good but excellent.
Deadliest Catch and Dog Whisperer coming along well, Prison Break still dling (thought it was finished but isnt), 35gb of Sopranos started for want of something to put in dl stack, but train wreck will be looming this time next week unless you pros come up with something to match wire/shield.
i think you can forget those expectations with Prison Break.Quote:

They often tend to do just that but to be fair it can't be easy to uphold standards when you start off with such gooduns, which is why the Wire and Shield are so outstanding (even with previous griping). Thanks for the caution on Prison Break, will not raise expectations.
I really really hated the 2nd season of Prison Break, especially the ending. The show really should have been a miniseries rather than a complete series.
The Wire --- best show on HBO, and also the most underrated. Season 1 was and is the best. Season 2 was okay but didn't really like it. Season 3 was awesome as well, and season 4, well, I really didn't like it all that much, primarily because the main character was AWOL for most of it.
Currently I'm on the second season of Battlestar Galactica, which is worth every bit of the hype that it got.
Agreed that season 2 of PB was dreadful.
They had so many opportunities to finish it off, but ended up pampering to the idiotic audience.
I certainly won't be watching series 3.
There is a brand new HBO show called 'meadowlands', I think I'm going to give that a go next.
Up to episode 8 of 'heroes, very watchable but still not convinced.
The Wire Season 3 was great, Season 2 was still OK. I will not be watching Season 4
Heroes, is kind of geeky but it's ok. Not sure what would come out of Season 2. I only got partially addicted on that one, and it was only after episode 8 or so
Looking forward for that trashy 24, can't get enough of that.
BSG Season 1 and 2 are the greatest. But Season 3 was highly disappointing despite a promising half season beginning. If you can avoid Gallactica Season 3, do or stop watching at the Season break around Episode 18. They run out of ideas apparently.
Just watched Entourage Series 1.
S'ok.
Ahh yes, Entourage. You guys should really check this gem of a show out. The stories and plots are just okay, but the writing is just great. Ari Gold and Johnny Drama are two of the most funny and colorful characters on tv today. Case in point:
Ari: Listen, Lloyd (Ari's Asian assistant), I want you to put all my files, folders, binders, *everything* into a box! If you find a used condom, an executioner's mask, and a fucking spike paddle, don't think, just pack that bitch! Chop suey!
Just started on "Life on Mars". First episode was excellent, so I'm looking forward to the rest. :)
Just finished Thief
Niceshort 7 part series.
I raped Bitme.tv for 400GB of stuff a month ago and am slowly getting my way through it.
I bought one of those DVD players that plays divx, so should be able to get through my series a bit quicker...if anyone is interested, although, I suspect, you probably won't be:spam:
^i am.
I need a new series to watch.
Finished with heroes....watchable but barely.
Even downloaded and watched season 6 of 24 for lack of anything else....appalling nonsense, even worse than the first 3 (didn't see 4 and 5 but sure they were dribble aswell.
must stop listening to clueless yank recommendations on torrent forums.
"meadowlands" is good. A channel 4 production, for some reason released in the US before the UK and available on EZTV (up to episode 3 so far).
makes a nice change from all the American dribble.
any more ideas guys, my azureus download box is empty for the first time in months.
^Monkey dust is interesting... series 1 available on mininova.
^
what's it about?
I quite liked Life on Mars - modern day politically correct cop gets knocked over by a car and wakes up as a detective in 1973 - a very Sweeny, un-PC environment. Good music on the soundtrack. As I said, ok, but I wouldn't have paid for it myself.
^^Just funny cartoon sketches... I like it cos the kids like watching cartoons...even though it is quite adult.
I just downloaded Viz's "Sid the Sexist" video which is always good for a laugh, the language is a bit vulgar though so I'm worried the kids will start walking round saying stuff like "Fuking hell, Sid man, you look like a fuking twat"
^
i have opted to d/l a documentary series called the universe.
I expect it to be about 'the universe'
^ I'm currently watching "The Planet Earth" that was produced by the BBC. I'm only on episode 2, but I'm well into it. It's an 11 part series that took 5 years and 40 million quid to produce. Worth every pence.
I was gonna ask how long it took to download, but since you're in the Land of Broadband it probably took no time at all, right?Quote:

just leave it running in the background.
An episode is usually 350 m/B.
Well seeded, that usually takes 3 hours or so.
not so long to wait really.
Took about 15 minutes to download the first episode, which is over a gig. But I'm doing it at work. If I was home, it would take half that. I don't use torrents; I'm on a pay site: Blueyoyo.com
I've only watched the first 2 eps and it's possibly the best doco I've ever seen (Hoop Dreams used to have the top spot). They go out and film the rarest of animals using a super zoom lens so the behavior is completely authentic. Really interesting to see how some of these creatures hunt their prey - I'm well looking forward to watching the rest of it this week.
What's up with the Shield 6? Either there are more than 10 episodes (what downloaded as 6-11 turned out to be a collection of trailers) or they left it with too many loose ends after Vic found the box of leverage in the car boot.
Watchable though it was, I feel a bit let down after wading through 85 hours.
