French Crime Drama, violent, well written and er....very violent.

^ Yeah, not up to standard. But they did go to a shithole, so I wasnt expecting much.

The banners on the train were amusing though.

Only watched the first couple of episodes, and I've yet to decide if I'm a fan or not. It does look a bit dated though as it's an older series.

I should imagine it looks very dated now^ It looked dated when it came out!! Very stylised too with the bits at the start with the guy in the wheelchair. Made me laugh when I realised where I recognised the leader of the Islamic Nation from - In Sickness and in Health. Those chats with Alf Garnett must have really had an effect on him.

I don't think anything will ever compare to The Wire...although one can but try.

I didnt give you a PB torrent of the Blu as it doesn't exist as of yet. The MKV rip is just over 5 gig though

Then most likely they are these films, burnt to disc in AVCHD format onto a dual layer dvd. You wouldn't even know its DVD. but the quality is x264. I know cos its how i do it as a Blu ray disc is pretty expensive.

No, they call that DVD9, and actually pointed that out to me this morning.

The BluRay encryption algorithm was cracked ages ago.

They work in an expensive Sony BluRay player, and they're the ones that are hardest on knock offs. Otherwise I wouldn't buy them.

I know what you mean about series 2 but I didn't see it as weaker. You see some big players come into it and see a different angle, as a part of the series it's really important to the whole thing. But yeah, not so much bling, not as exciting.
