Its not how theyre burnt its how theyre endcoded. Even though 2 files have the same extension they mave have been encoded slightly differently, htis is why 1 file will play on DVD and another wont. (I think)

download and install utorrent
Download - µTorrent - The Lightweight and Efficient BitTorrent Client
set your connection speed - remembering you don't want to swamp your connection and make it unusable for anything else.
set the number of concurrent active upload and downloads
set a folder to put your downloads into
search and find a .torrent file for something you want , download the torrent file and then open it with utorrent
wait for it to finish - copy from the download folder to where you want to keep things , burn to disc etc - leave the original in the download folder for as long as you wish to keep sharing for others
rinse and repeat
