    Britain's Trillion Pound Horror Story

Someone else (Marmite???) mentioned this one before. Topical considering the thread on the Manchester Public Sector protests.

Man United documentary all about the Munich air Disaster.
The film draws on first-hand interviews with the survivors and their families to tell the inspirational story of a team and community overcoming terrible tragedy

sabaii, I happened to see that just by chance the last time I was here in London. I'd like to see it again because I had missed about the first 20 minutes and I didn't realize that's what it was.

I wonder what the first jokes that came out were?

    Imagine if that happened now.

    Burzynski (2010)

If elements of Sicko outraged you, this will make you want to put your foot through your plasma.

It's about a Polish doctor in the US who discovered - and patented - drugs called antineoplastons which have significant results in treating - and even curing cancer.

And the inevitable witch hunt from the FDA and the pharmaceutical industry to put him out of business and steal them from him.

    Absolutely fucking outrageous.

I think that was mentioned a few pages back. And yes, it is sickening what the world's largest terrorist organisation will do to keep their 'interests' safe.

    Mixed Britannia

    Quite an interesting watch.

The previously untold history of Britain's mixed-race community and the many love stories that created it.
In the first of this three-part series, George Alagiah tells the story of romance in the First World War between female workers and foreign seamen, the street riots it led to, and how Britain just escaped laws preventing mixed marriage and the excesses of race science.

    The Secret of Oz.

The documentary draws parallels with the classic children novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum depicting the story hidden in symbolism about monetary reform and the economic scenario during the late 19th century. The yellow brick road (gold standard), the Scarecrow (farmers), the Tin Man (industrial workers), the Wicked Witch of the West (Cleveland banker J.D. Rockefeller) and the Wicked Witch of the East (NY banker J.P.Morgan), the Emerald City of Oz (greenback money), the illusory power of the Wizard in the capitol city (who monopolized power through deceit), even Dorothy’s silver slippers (changed to ruby slippers for the color movie version -symbols of Baum’s and Bryan’s belief that adding silver coin to gold coin would provide much needed money to a depression-strapped, 1890s America). Oz is a virtual forest of monetary reform symbolism, done by someone extremely well versed in the Populist monetary reform goals of the period (Baum was a newspaperman and author) – goals which have never changed - they are still valid today, they are needed now more than then
This is rich bankers bailing out rich bankers on your credit card!

Quite relevant to today's topic on OWS. Covers the history from way back when and shows how the banks have manipulated government to change the way money works.

Motorway Cops - Rulebreakers and Risktakers

Police track down drivers who disregard the law, placing themselves and others in danger. PCs Paul Finlayson and Tracey Cope investigate a collision between a car and a lorry. Meanwhile, fellow officer Adam Toal's patience is pushed to the limit on the M5 when he catches a motorist using a mobile phone, and is overtaken at 88mph by a woman who wanted to let her young son wave at a police car.

Making Millions The Easy Way - some basic tips on card counting and the story of how MIT students creamed millions of casinos across the world, untill the casinos made them an offer they couldn't refuse. I'd have liked to see more on the MIT system, but it's BBC Horizon, so anything more than +1/neutral/-1 was going to alienate 99% of the audience.

Rock Family Trees (TV Series 1995) - IMDb

If anyone can find a decent torrent of either of the two BBC series, then please post a link.
