    Rewind

Sasha Neulinger investigates the history of his family's sexual abuse.

Difficult watching, but Neulinger's ability to mine something constructive from his awful childhood trauma is really moving.

Well, unlike Jordan he gets asked difficult questions and gives straight answers.

Admittedly it took him a while.

    I found it worth watching.

haven't seen this in years and just came across it again.....

American Boy: A Profile of Steven Prince is a 1978 documentary directed by Martin Scorsese. Its subject is Scorsese's friend Steven Prince, best known for his small role as Easy Andy, the gun salesman in Taxi Driver. Prince is a raconteur telling stories about his life as an ex-drug addict and a road manager for Neil Diamond. Scorsese intersperses home movies of Prince as a child as he talks about his family. When talking of his years as a heroin addict, Prince tells a story about injecting adrenaline into the heart of a woman who overdosed, with the help of a medical dictionary and a Magic Marker. This story was re-enacted by Quentin Tarantino in his screenplay for Pulp Fiction. Prince also tells a story about his days working at a gas station, and having to shoot a man he caught stealing tires, after the man pulled out a knife and tried to attack him. This story was retold in the Richard Linklater film Waking Life.

    Just airing on rt TV:
    Crying for Justice

After September 11, 2001, the US government concludes secret agreements with European governments to fight terrorism. CIA will have powers to kidnap and torture suspects. It is a flagrant violation of international treaties and a slap to human...When the Washington Post revealed this secret pact in 2005, the Council of Europe instructs Swiss parliamentarian Dick Marty to investigate. This film is the story of this investigation.
Crying for Justice — RT Documentary

Investigated by the same Dick Marty (Swiss prosecutor), the one who investigated Kosovo govt criminals.

In 2005, Marty was appointed to lead an investigation by the Council of Europe into alleged unlawful CIA prisons in Europe. Marty was planning to use satellite images and aviation logs, among many other sources of information, to find out whether the "rendition" of terror suspects for possible torture, or for secret detention, had taken place in any of the Council of Europe's 47 member states. These activities could be a violation of European human rights standards. In June 2006 Marty released his report on behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly, concluding that evidence showed that fourteen European states had assisted in the perpetration of such abuses.[1][2]

Marty published the second part of this work on 8 June 2007, named Secret Detentions and Illegal Transfers of Detainees Involving Council of Europe Member States: Second Report.[3]

Posting Part 1 but there are 5 or 6 episodes to this.

There’s also a movie called “In Broad Daylight” starring Brian Dennehy.

btw...have you seen the movie on his time at Napoli?

Arguably better as it is at the time when he was in his prime.

A 'once in a lifetime' period for Napoli fans.

I started watching this quite sympathetic to the guy, though mystified as to why he and West Brom ever got involved with each other.

It's 90 minutes of the guy playing innocent and at some point the viewer has to start thinking 'hmm...really?'

I did so about five minutes before they got to him joining West Brom.

Of that he basically says that he went there because he had a good relationship with their manager Steve Clarke.

He helpfully explains that the manager subbed him off after 75 minutes of the first game which was apparently unforgiveable.

Clarke was sacked one game later, and Anelka's 'quenelle' gesture in the following game was merely meant to signify that 'The manager was dead but I was still alive'.

    Oh, OK then...

I'll say one thing for him...he's a really convincing bullshitter, and never mentions any link between his countless transfers and his signing on fees.

Still, there are some cracking goals, I have to admit.

All in all quite an interesting effort, but 90 minutes of his whining is a bit much.

    7/10

I liked it but yes, a definite PR spin. They don't talk about the brothers too much either. I see he's coaching in France now and living in Dubai.
